Thank you...today was 270.0!
<--happy tears!!!That's 3.6lbs in 4 days, ladies!!! It usually takes me a MONTH to lose 3lbs (and 2 days to gain back 5)!!! I usually go by a weekly average, because of bounces... however, if I'm just going to go down all the time, I might have to calculate by high/low! ![]() Still, even by average, this week was a 1.8lb loss. Basically, this is a very low-carb plan that doesn't count the carbs in green veggies. I guess I've just never done low-carb properly...I thought that cutting out 80-90% of the carbs in my diet would make a difference. ![]()

This is what I was hoping to see. Yes, doing LC properly does require strict carb counting. otherwise the fats fight your losses all the way.
I am loving watching this. |

Thank you again, Kissa! I appreciate your encouragement so much!!!
![]() It's much easier to count carbs when I don't have to worry about the bits in vegetables, cottage cheese, nuts, etc! Honestly, on other LC plans, if I could only have XX carbs per day, I'd often prefer to save them for a piece of REAL bread!!! But on this plan, during the first 8 weeks you can only have 5g net carb (from high-fiber breads & crackers & such) at a time, and then you have to wait 5 hours before having another carb serving. So, the per meal rule is a good guideline for me; otherwise, I would probably try to get away with carbs per day & have something less healthy. (PS: Dr Bernstein recommends 6g carb for breakfast and 12g for lunch and dinner, and recommends 5 hours between meals...I respect him enormously, so the fact that this plan has similar "rules" gives it credibility, IMO.) That makes total sense, as you can't 'save' the carbs for something dodgy. We are all guilty of trying to push the limits, but this plan sounds ideal for healthy LC eating.
