Attitude Adjustment Underway . . .

I have really been in a blue mood the last couple of weeks, and I decided this morning that it's time to put on my big girl pants and change my attitude. I found some quotes I think may help. Feel free to add your own, if you'd like.

"Human beings, by changing the inner attitudes of their minds, can change the outer aspects of their lives." ~William James

"Nurture your mind with great thoughts, for you will never go any higher than you think." ~Benjamin Disraeli

"A man is but the product of his thoughts. What he thinks, he becomes." ~Mahatma Gandhi

"Your attitude is either the lock on, or the key to, the door of success." ~Denis Waitley

"The most unknown, unused and unrecognised tool of the human mind, is the recognition that attitude is always a choice." ~Mark Horton

Unrelated, but I like it anyway: "It takes a smart person to have the last word and not use it." ~Author Unknown

I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it. Groucho Marx

I saw this on Pinterest - not sue who said it but . . .

Being fat is hard, exercising is hard, dieting is hard - choose your hard.

So true, when I want to eat more than I should - I think about how miserable I was for all the years I was overweight.

Kissa 05-04-2012 02:05 PM

Tricialy I used to have that in my siggie.

Only challenges cause growth; every challenge we face creates a more skillful self. - Steve Chandler

I may not be there yet, but I'm closer than I was yesterday.

"People tend to think that happiness is a stroke of luck, something that will descend like fine weather if you're fortunate. But happiness is the result of personal effort. You fight for it, strive for it, insist upon it, and sometimes even travel around the world looking for it. You have to participate relentlessly. " -- Elizabeth Gilbert, "Eat, Pray, Love"

Fake it till you make it! :D

(I sometimes do that "smile for 10 full seconds" thing, and I always, always! feel better after... sometimes you can lead with the physical and the mental will follow).

Oh hey! I just made that up! That's a good one!

 Everyone enjoy the super moon Saturday night!

And, if you believe gravitational & ionospheric disruptions can affect the human brain, expect to start cheering up in a few days.
