Sympathies. If I do not have access to a computer at all times, I get the shakes.

As Yam-Yam says, those pounds should melt quickly. And the break just might motivate your body to lose faster (my vacation did all of that for me).

Arlene - I need your strength right now because I'm up 2 lbs since I started last week. Today is my UD which is kind of bad since tomorrow is the 4th and it's my DD.

You're still my inspiration!!

I can tell you this works,if you respect the numbers.
I seen a lot of bounces, two pds will come off in no time. Get creative with your DD, maybe fast until dinner if you can and enjoy some nice BBQ chicken and watermelon with the family? You can do this, it does get easier.

Thanks Nancy and Yam. My Dh went out and bought a new dual band router last night, but for some reason could not get the I pads or my lap tap to recognize it. He went to the Ip to get a new router today, hopefully he will get it fixed soon. Im sure the weight will come off fast if I stick to it like I did. Im just mad at myself for essentially blowing an entire month of weigh ins.

Arlene, you need to look at the "bouncing ball weight charts" thread. I remember one that went bouncing down for a few weeks and then all of a sudden way up and over her starting weight! But it did come back off and fairly quickly. You've been doing this long enough to have the benefits of the sirtuins still working for you. The way I see it, you didn't blow an entire month of weigh ins. You just lived life. Life happens. The important and fun thing is that the JUDD WOE is always there for us to go back to, right?

And now Nancy needs to break into a chorus of "JUDD is so forgiving!"

I can't wait til your extra pounds are gone and take some friend-pounds with them!!! It will surely come to pass!

Arlene - Well see? You got to experience that JUDDD is forgiving like Yam-Yam and Nancy and other posters have said all along. Since JUDDD is our chosen WOL, it's good to experience it first hand, huh? I did also. I did one MD on a 3 day vacation and was up 5 pounds. It came off next DD. But for me personally, what I learned from the experience was that the joy of the extra food wasn't worth the fear of what the scale was going to say when I got home. It was like running up a credit card and waiting to get the bill. The inner satisfaction of being more in control brings me more joy. More food doesn't ever satisfy me somehow, it just makes me hungrier and anxious. The difference is the feeling, "I'm in control, food isn't controling me."

When I get to maintenance, I'll have a planned leeway, but at this point I want to git-r-done. Not to be impatient, but mentally, I can't handle unneccessary bounces that I've caused because of old thinking habits, like, "I'll go off just a little while." Next time I'm going to have a better plan like, 700 maintenance calories on DD. I'm encouraged by how on the maintenance thread some even lose on maintenance amounts. I don't know what you're going to do, but I don't like gaining on vacations. I work too hard for my losses.

Anyhoo - only 5 more pounds to lose? That'll probably drop in 2 more DD days for you. You've been a fast loser so far! I'm envious. You're my inspiration too, like Bronwyn. You've got a little crowd of groupies

P.S. Saw your picture on your profile page - how beautiful!!!

Yam, You are always so encouraging Thank you, and yes I am back 100% lesson learned!

Heather, your right. It was not worth it. I could have easily stayed on track with a bit of planning. I am so used to enjoying the summer camping and weekend outings with food. My whole family plans the feast. Drinks too OMG, one Pina Colada 400 cals!!! So not worth it. This weekend we are having a BBQ with the family. There will be burgers, salads, baked beans, and other stuff. I will make sure I plan well, like burger no bun, to save some calories for a few beans. no more alcohol, funny thing is I'm not really a big drinker. Thanks for being a groupie, LOL and not giving up on me

I'm not sure what to recommend about the rotations, just jump back in when you can. You'll be back down quickly and on to new lows!

I had one UUAAD, followed by a good DD, then my next UD, was a bit too up, followed that with another good DD. Since those bumps in my road I've been back in the groove of regular rotation/numbers and already at a new low as of yesterday. So see, just get on back into it and leave the past behind.

It's a DD today for me, which is okay. I was tempted to change it however I am going to a barbecue on Saturday so I need to keep my rotation as is despite the holiday today. I will not be overdoing it, but my calories are going to taste really good!

Have a great day!

Arlene I would go ahead and have your mid day today, if you do well, follow it with an UD tomorrow, but if you go WAY over just call it a wash, enjoy yourself and have a DD tomorrow. In the long run it really doesn't matter. Isn't that awesome?

Thanks for the in put.

Connie your doing well, congrats on the new low. I dont imagine today will be too high, its just dinner, but im sure it will be a bit over DD calories. If I stay low Ill do an UD tomorrow to get back into rotation, thanks guys

How are you doing, I'm thinking of you. I hope you are hanging in there over this crazy holiday time. My BBQ plans for Saturday had to be cancelled. It's just as well, those plans somehow mananged to keep me on rotation on the fourth when I really wanted to switch days. Tomorrow is now going to be an UD spent with my gal pal and we'll probably find enough trouble as it is!

Good morning, down to 272, still 4lbs above my low but Im working on it. It is a lot harder than I thought to stay to DD calories while out camping etc. I am really feeling deprived on those weekends when everyone is living it up and Im saying no thanks, so what Im trying to do is be really good during the week, and when out on the weekend making both days medium days. We have another camping trip coming up on the 20th and this is my plan. I'm still in the game
