Decision

I feel like I have come home. JUDDD is taking so much stress from me with regard to food.
For the past 15 months I stuck to low carb pretty well, but ate way too much as I never felt like I really wanted what I was eating.........I guess I thought more would help?! It didn't. And the proof is that I never got below 187 but just kept within a 10 pound range of 197- 187........ THAT IS 15 MONTHS.
On JUDDD I am becoming aware of just how many LC calories I was consuming.........
Then there were the frustration binges...
Now I find that DDs are a breeze.............I just made a list of foods that fit into my 385 cal budget and choose and stagger through the day. Easy. I do find I have to have a bit of string cheese or something around 6 or I get headachey.
I had a good UP day today with no binging and ate happily and guilt free and responsibly (who is this woman?).
So
While I am in a confident and hopeful state I am declaring the cigarette I am about to smoke is my last one.
Everything is going out with garbage. Cigs, ashtrays, lighters. OUT.

Pat! What great news! My mom successfully quit smoking at 64 and has not smoked for over 10 years. It's never too late for some things. . .

you can do this! You deserve to do this for yourself. My father was a chain smoker and quit at age 50, he is 72 now and in excellent health! It's not easy, but I'm sure you know that. You are non smoker now, that's all there is to it.

I was 69 when I quit, and just celebrated my 3rd year smoke-free.

What a chain that has been broken from my neck!!!

Good luck Pat!! You can do it!!! If you don't want to quit cold turkey it helps if you set a goal to decrease 1 cigg a week. so if you normally smoke 10 a day next week you smoke 9 a day etc... Many have had success with this. Good luck
