Cindy to be honest with you I am afraid to up the DD cals (can't I up the UD cals??? ) . I guess that goes back to the low calorie frame of mind I grew up with.... I had a loss of about a pound (down from the 2 I gained this weekend) after an UD of a bit lower than my target of 1704, and a DD also lower. Not sure what to do.

I am also afraid to change my targets due to the 9 pound loss I have sustained in the last four months...I barely survive on what I have now...it's been a struggle for me, for sure, but at least I am losing, albeit slowly, which I really wasn't doing any more on low carb.

I needed to share this-- I'm down today! And according to my records, I've not been this weight since June 2009

I'm so excited, I'm trying not to overdo it today (an UD) and we have a nice dinner and a show (STOMP) planned tonight anyway...

yay JUDDD!

Scotty some of our experts may say try to up both UD and DD calories for a while, finding your sweet number seems to be hard for some. Did you see the interesting post on finding your correct numbers a couple of days ago. I'll try to add a link to it.

Here, Calculating UD/DD Calories

Soren I am so thrilled, yay JUDDD indeed. You will love Stomp!

Thanks folks! This is actually my 3rd time (over the years) seeing it... each time it seems pretty fresh and new!

I'm still freaking out about the weight-- I guess I'll have to get used to this-- "revisiting" lows of days past... It's a GOOD THING, just sort of freaking me out.

Finally finding time to check in! Wow love seeing the new lows! I am in hanging in there with TOM a few days away trying not to think about it.

Work is crazy for me, but that is good that means I am making money lol. So I will not complain.
Not working out as much as I should - doing it every day, but only 20 min on DD and 30-40 on UD - I am trying to jump into work as earlier as possible to get in as many hours as I can. My husband has been a great help when he can around the house when I am working these 10-12 hour days. I had a work lull today so I baked cookies (thank goodness UD), and a few other things.

Have a great rest of the day.

Hey! Posting from the Low Carb Cruise! I suppose you've all heard the excitement over our first speaker Dr. Jack Kruse who got booted off the ship. Also, I have posted a picture of me in my GOAL jeans! If you have a chance, take a look at the photo and the message we got from the Captain about Dr. Kruse on nequals1health.com (this is not a link, and we're not selling **any**thing). We are having a wonderful time. Interviewed Jimmy and Christine Moore today; will post soon, and also tomorrow we are interviewing Denise Minger and Chris Masterjohn. Exciting!

Also, visited with Dana Carpender and That Nice Boy She Married a few times already. This is just as good a cruise as I knew it would be.

I am back to JUDDD after almost a week of MDs. I am glad to get back to the UD/DD rotation and am going back to work tomorrow. With all the stress of losing my mom and not having good DDs, I am up only 1/2 a pound. I am looking forward to getting caught up on all the posts I missed when I was gone.

Tammy, good to see you back and on track again. It must be good to see that you only gained a 1/2 pound, Dr J is right when he says that the SIRT1 lasts a few weeks in our bodies.

Georgene I know nothing about Kruse being thrown off the Cruise... Will peep in when I have time.

Off out to enjoy lunch with some girlfriends from the gym.

Tammy - good to have you back!

I should have mentioned, yesterday was the 3 week mark for me and DH. DH is down 12 pounds and is so happy. I think for now, he wants to go down another 10...see how that is. I don't look at the scale, DH does and says I am doing well too! He has lost 5.1% of his weight. We are BOTH loving JUDDD!!

Next month, June 3rd, I know we will need to adjust the UD/DD rotation. I will be asking questions about that as we get closer! Won't worry about that till then!

Oh my, I did read that Georgene!!

What a dang shame that is! Seems that someone really had it in for John! I sure hope that gets cleared soon!

Glad the cruise is going well. Say 'hi' to Fred for me......he's been my online mentor for Slow Burn since I started it in 09 and always replies in a timely manner to all my questions.....he knows me by my first name, Gracie.

Wow on the cruise and Dr. Kruse being tossed off. Shame he couldn't fly to meet the ship at a port somewhere and at least be able to enjoy part of it. I do hope the cruise line gives him a full refund.

Good to see you popping in!

DD today and I'm starving. Had a couple bites of pumpkin bread at food co-op pickup and it sent my appetite soaring. I will hold out till lunch, but I'm not happy about it.

Yesterday I got my calories over 1700, and maintained on the scale, so my eat more to maintain theory seems to be holding true. Hoping to get that extra pound gone again with a good dd today.

Georgene I read your blog with great interest-sounds like a lot of fun! How awful about Dr. Kruse-surprised he didn't raise a fuss.

On my UD yesterday, as I was journalling everything for the day, I thought, "oh, I have enough cals for a couple vodkas"

Big mistake, as usual. The munchies appeared and I ended the day at an estimated 2400+ calories-my target is 1704.

So today I am going to stick to my 341 cals, stomach growling away, and wish I would learn from this...

On a brighter note, I am wearing a suit that didn't fit me a few months ago...

Hi! Posting this for SophieTheCat and anyone else who likes Mexican & Italian! I don't make this too often but I made it last night for some friends who came to visit. It's really good! I guess this recipe should really be ILLEGAL on a low carb message board but not in JUDDD! LOL I suppose you could use the Dreamfields pasta if you desire and could also do the Ragu Cheese Sauce in a jar to cut back on starches.

Chicken Spaghetti

1 pkg boneless skinless chicken breasts or 2 lg split breasts
1 small pkg mexican velveeta
1/2 small bag seasoning blend (frozen chopped onion, celery & peppers)
2 cans mexican rotel tomatoes
1 pkg spaghetti
1 can cream of chicken soup

Boil the chicken breasts until tender and remove from broth. (If you use breasts w/ skin/bone, you can strain the broth to remove the skin/fat pieces that will be left.)
Boil the spaghetti noodles in the chicken broth until al dente.
While the spaghetti is cooking, tear or cut the chicken into bite size pieces, heat the seasoning blend in microwave on high for 3 minutes and cube the entire pkg of velveeta.
When the spaghetti is done, drain off extra broth leaving just enough to half way cover the spaghetti. (If it's too dry, you can add chicken broth or water later...It's better to be too dry than too soupy to start with.)
Add the cream of chicken soup to the spaghetti/broth and mix well. Add the velveeta and mix well until it's melted.
Mix in the chicken, seasoning blend, and rotel and mix well.

Serve w/ side salad & garlic bread

OMG! I'm back to low carbing it, but I realized today that Pinkberry's small dish is 100 cals for those that aren't off sugar! What a treat! I don't plan on having sugar again for awhile...but when and if I do that would be a great DD treat!

Hi there. I think I'm in the right thread since I am not new, but temporarily not maintaining either! I posted here on JUDDD forums a while back but right now I don't see the names from then. Leo41 and GME still post on LCFs but perhaps not here. snaggle posted a few months ago. Redeemed also.

I lost something like 13 pounds on JUDDD and hung around for about 6 months after that still posting ('09-'10), but my mother got very sick (several posters used to chat a lot here about eldercare). I continued to maintain on JUDDD at about 50 percent DDs until recently with some thyroid issues and personal stuff that made me neglect counting. So now am battling about 8 pounds - too much to pretend is temporary without attention!

On Monday and Wednesday of this week I had 500 calorie days and didn't count calories on Tuesday (usually I would - neglected that). On Tuesday morning I'd lost 1 pound and this morning I'd lost another 1/2. I was genuinely hungry Monday night but not hungry either UD morning!

Anyway, I guess I am a blast from the past. Hopefully I can prove again we can maintain with JUDDD and just switch back from maintenance to weight loss percentages when we need to lose.

Hello, Whitlin!!! I'm sure you will notice many new faces here - lots of wonderful JUDDD buds to meet, and hopefully some others you recognize that make you feel you've come home. It's encouraging to meet someone who has maintained with JUDDD for a long time. Hope you'll join us on all the great threads - we'll treasure your valuable input!

Lovely to meet you Whitlin' and great to see that you have the faith in JUDDD to come backhand get rid of those stubborn pounds.

Interesting that you mention eldercare as I am currently visiting nursing homes to try to fine a suitable place for my 95 year old FIL. Not easy.

I am feeling great today, love my DDs.
