I was down .2 after an UD and am hoping my never ending stall is finally going to end. Praying! Pleading! Hoping!

Have a great day all!

Had my first UD yesterday and it was AWESOME. Hard to get the calories in so I'll have to work on that part. BUT it was the best night's sleep I've had in months. I feel fantastic! I did gain some water weight (given the fact that I haven't had sugar or starches since Feb that was a given!) but I'm so happy to have it. I'm just thrilled and nothing of note has happened yet.

Thank you so much for being you! All of you-I'm so happy to have found such a great group.

my mother passed away this morning. I am not an emotional eater which is good but I have a headache so will probably eat something soon. Today is a DD but I think for the next few days I will not be able to worry about DD and UD since I will be traveling to Tennessee to be with my sister and her children. I will get back on track next week.

I took half a day's vacation to get ready for next week, and I am now....officially.....packing! WooHOO!

But that's not the big news. The BIG news is that what started this all...the pants that wouldn't go over the butt....are now starting to actually get a bit loose! YESSSSSS!!!!!!! I have them on now, but I'll be packing them to wear ***with pride*** on the ship! Note to self: get a picture of me in the goal pants - on the ship - to post on the blog!

Every single person in here, even if you don't know it, made a difference in the past four months to me.

And of course, I am quite sure I'll be needing to come back and get re-centered in JUDDD, but for now I'm just going to enjoy my vacation!

Thanks to you all!

Tammy my heart goes out to you. Thank heavens you got to visit last week. I am sure her passing in the Hospice will have be as peaceful and dignified as possible.

This is a time to eat simply as well as you can and not concern yourself with the details.

You are in my thoughts.

Tammy, so very sorry for your loss.

You take care of yourself and don't worry about JUDDD. It will be here for you when you get home. You need to concentrate on being gentle with yourself at this difficult time.

I 100% agree with you on this. WE have a peach stand that shows up for the summer months. I will go in and buy a defective flat for like $5 and it is full. We eat on it just cutting off the bad spots! I LOVE PEACHES. I really don't like any other fruit...well strawberries are ok. Peach season and NOT from a grocery store! LOVE IT!

Tammy sorry for the loss of your Mother.

I had 3 peach trees that my Grandmother planted before I bought the house. Two in the back yard ended up dying. The third one is at the end of my driveway (how convenient for neighbors to walk by and grab some) and it does half way decent. Only MY Grandmother would plant a peach tree at the end of the driveway on a cul-de-sac! UGH! I love peaches! Can't wait to make some peach smoothies and Paula & her son made some homemade peach ice cream that looked to die for!

Oh I'm new to JUDDD been on it almost 2 weeks but messed up the first week...Checking out all the threads, mostly the Newbie one! Just had to pop in and share this...

Does anyone else torture themselves with Food Network on Down Days?!?! I usually watch it all day when I work at home 2 days a week. Triple D is currently on and MAN oh MAN...I can always eat tomorrow! Just finished my 12 minutes of strength trianing!

Got alot done today! I got the kids a new pool, 15ft by 42 inches. Its actually a bit smaller than the one they have now. But it was a difference of 150 bucks! I got a metal frame, instead of one of those easy set/ring pools. This one will only take 2 truck loads of water to fill, the other took 3. The one they have now, where the filter goes into the pool, it got a bit of a hole and water started leaking. It lasted 3 years so it was well worth the money!!

I got most of my yard edged too. Less weed whacking that way! Had sweat dripping off of me, so hopefully the scale shows a loss!! lol! Some time this weekend I need to weed my flowers too!

My daughter and I are going to fix up my MIL and FIL's grave site tomorrow. I got stones for around it and we are gonna take a few Hosta's from our yard over. They actually were my MIL's, I split them when she passed and we planted some in our yard. I told my daughter that we can split the ones that were nana's so nana can keep growing them at her grave now! We are going to my grandma's too. Kate has a project for school, and we are gonna video tape my gram talking about what it was like growing up during the great depression. I am really excited over this. I can video my grandma talking about her life. Shes getting up there and it will be nice to know I will have something later in life from her like that!!!

Got groceries too, lots of great deals. Good to go for a few weeks! I didnt get my book though . I ran out of time and didnt make it to the book store. Oh well, I will get it sooner or later!!

I also went to wendy's and had a great lunch by myself lol!! I got that gacamole (sp?) chicken sandwhich again. All 770 calories of it!! It was an UD and what the heck!! I got a baked sweet potatoe instead of fries, but I only ate a few bites. It was still kinda raw. I would of complained but I was full as was.

Anyways its midnight and I need to get some sleep! Just stopped in to say hi.........so.......... hi!!!

Tanya, what a busy and happy day you had. A good way to end your vacation. You are clearly part of a lovely family.

Natasha, I can't imagine how lovely it must be to eat a peach straight off the tree.

I am off into Chinatown for a meal with a huge crowd of friends we knew years ago through amateur theatre in Hong Kong. They hold this rennin every year and we go occasionally.

Usually I eat very little as, on Atkins, a pre ordered Chinese was a hopeless meal. Today however will be a different story. Naturally today is an UD. I am ready for the bounce but I was at 122.8 this morning so I have a little wiggle room.

I've been bouncing around the same few pounds for about two weeks. It's a tad annoying but since I've been eating way waaaaaaaay to many cals on my UD's I can't really complain. I decided to measure myself just there.

When I started JUDDD five weeks ago the 2 measurements I took were:
Waist 33.5
Navel 38

About two weeks ago they measured:
Waist 32
Navel 37.25

Today, without any new loss in the past two weeks and waaaaaaaay too many cals they are:
Waist 31
Navel 36

I'm happy with that! I guess my body is just catching up with the scale.
Now, on to attempt to have a somewhat restrained UD!

I would first like to add my sympathies to Tammy on the loss of her dear mother.
Stitch great numbers-WOW!

I've been wanting to join the "conversation" but have been feeling down about my lack of losses, so didn't want to be a downer for everyone else.

However, I've been having some nice losses this week. Started at 165 (where I also was April 1) and am down 2.5 as of this morning. I continue to be really hungry on DDs-tummy rumbling, head aches, not able to sleep-and UDs get to my cal target so fast... 341/1704

BUT I am still content that I am doing this WOE. Yesterday someone brought in lovely doughnuts from a famous place in RI, and, although it was a DD and I just tried a tiny corner (whilst they were fresh, dontcha know-and journalled it), I knew that I could just take a couple home and try them today. I never could have done that on LC. This morning I had 2oz of a cruller, and .7oz of a glazed heated in the oven, and you know what? That was plenty. And Monday, which will be an UD, we are having a pizza party at work, again something I never could have joined on LC.

Quote:
DH and I love Food Network and it always seems to be on when we're having a DD!
Yes, me too. I watch the Cooking Network more than the Food Network now, though, and last night almost swooned at the show on sandwiches-one of my downfalls, which is another reason why I like this WOE

I continue to "get through" the DDs-I don't think I've found what keeps me full-and sometime struggle with the UDs going UUAA, especially when adult beverages are involved. The answer, usually, is to "just say no"

Now that I've had my doughnuts, I feel kinda full and funny-carbs, I guess...and not sure what to have for my "real" brekkie.. I obsessively track all cals, but am no longer even looking at carbs-so odd after almost 10 years of LC...

I read up on "Shades of Gray"-there are two books with that or similar title, and both look good! I am a voracious reader and will look for them.
