Do you see yourself JUDDDing for the long haul?

I adore this WOE, it is my perfect match! JUDDD is much easier than Atkins, I'm not starving all the time like Weight Watchers and I don't have to exercise like a maniac (though I should exercise more than I do). I can easily see myself doing JUDDD for a long long time, maintaining should be a piece of cake! How about you?? Is JUDDD your perfect match?

Oh heck yes!

I've mentioned before that this is pretty much how I ate for many many years and never had a weight problem.

I feel like I've got my old self back! And I'm in the process of getting my formerly slender figure back, too!

I totally do, and so does hubby. We feel and look better and only have the restrictions to our foods that health requires, not some "diet". Love it!

in the beginning, the first couple of DD's I would have said, HECK no. I think each person has to determine the best way to handle a DD for themselves. I was trying to do what many here do and FAST most of the day. That simply did not work for me. I now stagger my food throughout the day and that seems to make all the difference for me.

Now that I have my DD's under control, I would now say, HECK YES, for life!

Yeah, I think I'd be a bit of a fool not to eat like this forever, given how good I feel right now. Even if I lost no more weight, I think overall improvement is worth keeping.

I'm sitting here now with the rain pouring outside and I'm totally full to the brim of delicious food. How bad?

One thing that we all (who have not reached goal) have to look forward to is that eventually, we will have much larger window for DD. Instead of 300 cals, it will be 800.

That is one thought that makes this WOE even more appealing to me, I can tolerate my DDs pretty well right now (600 cals) but knowing that I can move up to 800 on DDs after goal is a big selling point for me!

WOE: Primal as of Aug 2011/JUDDD (started 1/13/12)
Start Date: Aug 2011/I've been maintaining since April 2012
As a maintainer enjoying those 800 cal dd's, yes, I can see me doing this for the long haul (or some variation of IF with JUDDD like principles. I like mixing things up if I get bored. LOL)

800 cals is so easy to do if I just skip breakfast, and then eat my regular lunch and supper, with no snacks. So what's not to love?

Definately. I have been on so many diets and lost and gained so much weight that this is the last time. I like JUDD and I can live with it.

I feel so good! I don't really know how to explain it to people. It could be the excitment of being so close to goal but I really think there is some magic in the IF. I think often about what a lifetime of eating this way will be like. I have about 10 -13 pounds left to lose and then I will see how to maintain. I definitely think the additional calories on DD will be doable for life.

Short answer, yes (but I don't think I'm recognized for having short answers). There's something very satisfying in knowing I've been able to eat pretty much the stuff I enjoy (every-other-day, of course) and still have my pants get baggy and having lost 30 pounds! And I guess that one word sums up this WOE -- satisfying. It's easy. It's free. It's forgiving. It's just downright special! Thanks, Dr. J -- and all the JUDDD BUDDDs!
