WOE: post hcg, lost 60lbs
Start Date: Juddd 4/30, restarted 11/30
lost 3.5 overnight!!!! after DD

Hello everyone,

I have been reading tons about Juddd and finally started yesterday with a DD. Since I am post HCG I decided before jumping into Juddd to do a few weeks of P4. So I did about 2 weeks, started walking last week to try to avoid too many water weight fluctuations with exercise and since last Wed started to incorporate carbs into my diet. I first had potato which was fine, then the next day had 2 cups of dreamfields pasta and I gained 1.0lb,( a bit much pasta!) the next day had big mac and fries, gained 2.5 lbs!!

They say after HCG you can slowly add in carbs but the fact that I gained 1 lb from dreamfileds was very disappointing. Well I should have had a smaller portion too!!! that was my real turning point that if I ever want to eat healthy carbs or bad carbs HCG won't allow me. then I decided since I was already way past my normal weight of 143 I would enjoy my weekend and start Juddd on Sunday.

Drum roll please...... after pizza, grilled lobster rolls, lobster bisque, fries, chocolate truffles etc I was 152 on sunday!!! So I gained 9 lbs!! from adding carbs and junk foods. I also feel I ate a lot of high sodium foods. but I don't feel guilty. I have not had any of this type of food since Febuary. Thats when I started HCG. I now feel that food is not my enemy and boy... I deserve a treat! I learned from HCG about discipline and moderation. (Didn't follow it this weekend though...

Now usually after a feast like this I go to the supermarket and buy a steak or do what we call egg days... Basically eat either a steak for dinner only or eggs all day long. usaully after all that suffering you lose 1.5 to 2.5 lbs the next day.

I ate about 500 cals on Sunday and woke up this morning and was 3.5 lbs lighter!!!!!!!! oh my gosh, I just started juddd and I already started to lose my water weight??? How cool is that...

DD:
Campell soup: 2 cups
200 g chicken and salad and dsg
few rasberries and something else

The only thing I am wondering now is... should I try to keep low carb for this week to get the water weight off or can I eat "normal carbs " rotation foods and the water weight will come off with DD? I really want judd to be my woe and I want to incorporate carbs. Like today I had on my UD corn flakes for breakfast, some cracker chips so I already blew it for making it low carb.

Loving JUDDD!!!!!

Just eat the way you want to continue to eat IF you are ok with the bounces. You may bounce up a little tomorrow again, but next dd, you'll probably bounce down. Sometimes, you lose after an UD and gain after a DD. There really is no rhyme or reason.

Many use the analogy of a ball bouncing down the stairs, it goes down and it goes up, but the overall trend is down.

So just respect your calorie limits, and eat the way you wish to eat. Juddd will work-just don't panic with the scale.

I'm glad that you finally decided to join the JUDDD team!

You were very wise in finding all that you could before jumping in, and now you have an arsenal of information along with the most supportive group of folks here.

Again, welcome aboard, and enjoy the ride; it may get bumpy, but it will soon turn into a smooth ride.

What a happy post! You are going to do great on this WOE. As far as carbs, the advice you have received from the other JUDDD-BUDDD's is spot on. Just eat as you feel comfortable doing...just respect the rotation and the calorie limits, and you will be very successful!

By the way.....

Welcome! I think if you just do the rotation and keep within the calorie limits, the carbs won't matter. I switched over from LC and I'm just making sure I'm doing the appropriate amounts of calories on the appropriate days.

Thank you all

So here is another amazing update.... yesterday was my official 1st UD and it ended up being a UUAWD!!! I was soooo hungry for the first time ever. I was a little unprepared which is very unlike me. Usually I have my meals precooked or ready to be made but I started the day off on the wrong foot. Ended up getting really hungry and no healthy food around. Decided to by some stir fried chinese veggies with shrimp, then had some cereral then this then that.... before I know it I was way over 2000 cal. I was shocked of how HUNGRY I was!!! No wonder some folks complaint that they are really hungry on UD. But i think my biggest mistake was not eating and snacking and letting myself get ravenious and then it was harder to control. Probably the new influx of carbs didn't help either. I normally eat paleo.

welll.... I was prepared for a huge gain BUT I only gained 1lb!!! WOW loving how forgiving JUDDD is and I havent even done 2 weeks!!! Normally I would have gained at least 2-3 lbs!!!

Well today is another DD and I already walked this morning and have my foods ready...ready set go.....Thank you all for all your support!!

Also I forgot to mention I will continue eating carbs as you suggested. My goal is to try to lose about 10-15 lbs after this water weight gain but if I don't I am ok with maintaining too!! Whatever JUDDD can do for me I will be grateful!

Yay!!! JUDD will do soooooo many wonderful things for you! After you get a few weeks in, you will find that the initial hunger subsides quite a bit on UDs. Most of the time I wake up on an UD and am not hungry at all! Can't believe it.

That is one of the happy jobs of the sirtuin proteins flooding your system after they have built up from doing your DD rotations.

Many people who came from a strict VLC plan decided to "carb up" before starting JUDD and then just counted that first post UD weigh in as their starting weight. Then they never had to worry about carbs any more after that and they are losing great! Hoping Dawn will pop in with her story....

I came from Dukan which is LC. In the beginning, my UDs were soooo over the top. I was all over the place!!! I ate lots of carbs, then freaked out about the scale bounces and pulled back on carbs. Then began to introduce them slowly.

Now I don't think about it too much. My body seems to crave healthy food over junk food whether it's an UD or a DD. My scale losses slowed down during April, but I continued to lose fat and inches which is amazing to me. And, I'm retaining muscle which is also part of the magic of JUDD.

JUDD heals our obsessive relationship with food. It gives us a WOE for a lifetime, so now we can relax and be happy and enjoy life!!!

I'm so happy you found JUDD and now you are one of the BUDDS!!!! YIPPEE!!

I am one who "carbed up" and was happy to do so. I simply took a weekend off between Atkins and JUDDD, ate whatever I wanted, took my gain that Monday morning, and called that my JUDDD starting weight. I think you've already jumped into carbs, so there's no reason to back out now unless you prefer to eat lower carb.

If you keep the carbs, you don't lose the water weight. You just accept that it's water. I lost fat from then on without a second thought. One of the biggest misconceptions with low carb is that you're losing tons of fat in the induction period. You're not. It's almost all water initially, and as soon as you reintroduce carbs, you're going to gain that back.

Thanks Dawn. I was thinking I should lose another 6 lbs that would be water then anything after 143 which was my weight before the carb feast would be considered fat. Then if I lose 2 lbs tomorrow I should consider it 2 lbs of fat loss.... ok.
