Thanks for the clarification on what weight to use .. I wasn't sure so I went for the goal figure -- it is only about 12 lbs difference in any event, which won't change things a whole lot.

As for exercise, I am going to stick with this number for now, and see where it gets me. I see your point about the amount of calories allotted for exercising, though-- it does seem a bit high for the average person.

That said, when I train, I train HARD -- so I think the caloric needs it gave me are about right for that. Any lower -- on an ongoing basis -- and my muscles just can't repair themselves properly. I exercise to develop my body, though, not to burn calories -- in fact, exercise and a caloric deficit long-term is a terrible combination for me.

JUDDD may be different in that regard -- I've heard of people getting some really nice body recomposition (fat loss/muscle gain) using IF or JUDDD type plans. I will try this and see how it goes, and will adjust as necessary.

Hey! So after my vacation I sort of got back on my rotation for a week and lost a couple of the pounds gained on the trip. Then came Memorial weekend! So I just partied all weekend! First DD today! Shooting for 500 max if I can handle it! No bumps that I foresee derailing me this week. Hoping to get off these 6ish pounds and back down to 183!

Have a great week everyone!

Day 9 of my hopefully-last hcg p2, and I am DOWN 2.2 lbs today! That is going to go a long way to keeping me on track to finish out this p2, so I can maintain with JUDDD -- yes!

I am 10.4 lbs from goal!

I'm going to ride out the rest of the p2, and then transition -- no more waffling from me... I can do this. Yesterday was easier, and today is going fine so far... and I will be grateful for the additional two weeks of losses when I start my JUDDD with a clean, fresh system.

Still can't wait to get going with it, though!

i did low carb for a long time and dropped 30 lbs last year but couldnt stay with it and gained it all back QUICK.
trying juddd seems like it'll be an easy woe, im a full time student so im used to go long periods without food but always ended up binging on carbs and alcohol.
UD yesterday and DD today. so far 4 glasses of water and 280 calories. trying to save the 200 i have left for before bed. havent been terribly hungry so YAY!
UD=1700 cal and DD=>500 cal. do these stats seem right?

Welcome Callierose, carbs and alcohol aren't only a problem for students, lol.

The numbers look good, pop in often and dig around the boards.

Hi, BUDDDs -- I am cleansing, p2ing, losing pounds and inches, and counting the days until I start JUDDD.

I've been reading over the DD recipes and food porn threads, and I have to say that I am seriously excited to give this a go! You are such a wonderfully creative bunch, I can't wait to give all these recipes a try....

Two more weeks, and I am IN!

I used my current weight and continued to use those figures since my weightloss had never stopped. I will re figure when I quit losing.

Also, Dr. J suggested suing the activity level below what you actually are to get a true calorie count. I personally use the no exercise or limited exercise whichever it is. In other words the least active option since I am not an exerciser.

Plus I tried the complete fasting on DD's and did not experience any faster or greater weightloss than consuming 350 - 400 calories per day. So I am now eating but I eat three small meals per day. I only fast until evening if it is a banquet or something I have to attend and it is a DD.

Guess I won't be a May Newbie anymore! But I wanted to encourage anyone who has recently joined to keep with this WOE for at least a month, and see how great you feel inside!

I have a question that may sound pretty stupid but how much more do you normally weigh after an UD?

Barb, what a beautiful first month! Thanks for encouraging all of us.
Emilyjane, I think it's different for everybody. Six weeks in, I don't seem to be bouncing as much, but it looks like several pounds up in response to salt, UD calories, hormones, carbs, humidity, prevailing winds (for all I know) is pretty normal. We all do our best not to freak out.

I can go days with absolutely no change, UD or DD, then I'll have days where I'm bouncing a pound or more either way. We each react differently.

Here is the June Newbie thread, if you have started JUDDD in the last 10 days or so, please move over there.

And to the rest of you great May Newbies, well done and please continue to offer your support to the new Newbies.
