Not what I was hoping-

But I will take it! My firs completed week and I lost 1.9 lbs. I was hoping for a "first" week loss. Like 5-6 lbs. but I still lost. Really that's all that matters!

It's great loss actually because when following juddd it mean you lost 1.9 pounds of pure fat not precious muscles or water you will regain soon or later,or even body tissues ..

so true! 1.9 pound fat loss is so much better then a 5 pound muscle loss! I really think this WOE is taking off the fat from us. Wishing you a great week 2.

I think your loss is wonderful! This thought always excited me: Would you think losing 52lbs. in a year was good? (my answer was YES!!!) because that is losing only one pound a week!!! I love that perspective!!! Like others have said, we only are actually dieting every other day!! Another great perspective!! This simple thought, regardless of all the other wonderful benefits of this WOE, kept me going and happy and why it is such a pleasure to do this for life!!

Did you weigh every day or just after 1 week?

The JUDDD bouncing weights are famous. Have patience and I agree. 2 pound is wonderful loss.

I would love to be losing 1.9 per week since I am "only" losing 1.3 pounds per week. I would already be at goal if I was losing 1.9 BUT I have lost 21 pounds in 16 weeks.

I think it is a GREAT loss. Love it Phyl.

Thanks everyone! I am happy with the loss. I just like the first week to be a big one! Lol
Love he perspective of 52 lbs in a year! I will have to remember that.
I only weighed once, not sure I could handle the ups and downs of weighing daily.

I also lose at a slower level than many folks here BUT so far I have dropped 8 pounds in two months-I will take my four pounds a month and know that by next year if I continue to lose just four a month I will have dropped 48 pounds and be below my goal weight and that makes me smile. Congrats on your loss and I wish you continued success in your journey and look forward to celebrating your future success with you!!!

I know how you feel - I managed to gain half a pound, which means a net loss of 3.5lbs over two weeks, roughly the same as yourself.

Justwaiting, your stats don't state your current weight, but be careful comparing your loss to others! If you're already closer to goal, someone who's far from goal is probably going to lose faster.

The victory here is that your body felt safe in releasing 1.9 pounds in just a week! You're doing a great job at taking care of yourself, nourishing yourself and improving your health.

Good going!

1 pound/week adding up to 52 pounds in a year! SO obvious on the face of it, kwim? All those pounds do add up to a significant number after a while, but lots of us are unhappy when it's "only" a pound a week. BTDT. It's not out-of-the-gate spectacular, doesn't have a big "wow-factor". But 52 pounds in a year is pretty dang good!

Most of us have little to no problem frittering small amounts of money away every month. We recently moved and my husband and I had a discussion about whether we should get cable TV (did not have it at our last place). "It's only $50 a month for 254,028 channels. We can get it if you'd like to".

Yep, we could afford it OK. But did we think we'd watch $600 worth of TV over a year's time? Nope! Neither of us have ever been big TV watchers. It sounds like so little, but $600 isn't anything to sneeze at. Neither is a pound a week! It all adds up.

I like the 52lbs that is very inspiring.

I have lost 6lbs and its taken me 10 weeks so for some of us the loss is slow. Depends what your starting weight is. Also you are only dieting for half of the week so that may also slow things down. You might find as the weeks roll on that you lose more as the diet kicks in. My first few weeks were low. I think you deserve a cos a loss is a loss.
