Your favourite fiber powder

Hi everyone,

I had a big bag of inulin which I used to add to shakes, baked goods, etc. but I've ran out and don't want to buy more because it's so expensive.

I'm looking for a decent sub, as I use liquid stevia to sweeten things, inulin was great at replacing the bulk that stevia doesn't provide, and improving texture without adding any weird taste.

I'm thinking apple or oat fiber but never tried them, any ideas?

Thanks

I have oat fiber. I can't add more than a tablespoon to anything though or I'm running for the WC!

I have oat fiber, too, but interestingly, it seems to have the reverse affect on me!

I've only used it in Ouizoid's OMM. What else do you do with it?

I've only used it in different variations of the OMM, too, but I've seen others use it in all kinds of things including smoothies, yogurt, etc. I've been afraid to try because of the aforementioned issues.

Hello my little dumplings :-)

I have constipation issues, and this product from the Clean Program really helps me- it's called Move (heh heh)

Clean Program by Dr Alejandro Junger MD

In fact, I recommend ALL of Dr. Junger's products. They are the most advanced, easily assimilated, thoughtful, and dynamic supplements I have ever taken.

I did the CP last year and it really detoxed me.

Hello Nicki! Does this little gem cause any cramping?

BTW, I think your pic with your puppy is adorable!

Thanks! Little Georgia makes me

NO cramping AT ALL. This was the exact issue I was having with psyllium and other fibers I tried. I felt that they almost made my issues worse and I drink a metric ton of water daily!

It really does make everything "Move" and without any side effects. I use one scoop in my morning shake although I have used two with no problems. I hope it helps you too!

WalMart has a generic version of Benefiber--look for "clear soluble fiber". It's really affordable. It doesn't thicken, though, which I find convenient but maybe you're looking for something that does?

I have used inulin hefore and noticed that it adds a slight sweetness. If you like that, then you might like Poly-D (or a mix of clear fiber+polyD). It's not 100% fiber but pretty close; 2 tbsp has 23g fiber + 3 net carb, so 12 calories....IF you want that much fiber at once!

Inulin causes terrible cramping for me but these other types of fibers don't.

Thank You so much, off to Wally World in the morning!

I checked "Move" and their web site said a bottle was for 56 servings for $38!

I know, trust me but if you have a lot of issues with other fiber not doing it's job, this is well worth the price. Even taking it every other day to stretch out the servings works.

Believe it or not, that yogurt called Activia really works, and so do the Fiber One bars....so much so that you better not eat more than one per day or you'll be spending a lot of time in the restroom.... they taste good so not hard to eat.
