I eat a lot of salmon but never tried it for a DD. Might get some tomorrow and try it out for lunch.

Not sure about peanut butter. It's a small mouthful for quiet a few calories so if it didn't work you'd be in trouble..

I love salmon...

So easy to quickly 'steam' in the microwave!

I also stock up on canned salmon regularly, and really like it either on an UD or a DD...
It's great in a salad and also great flaked on an omelette...

Lentils and nut butters... Weeeeelllll.... Lentils I don't really like very much, only with lashings of extra virgin olive oil, kikkoman soy sauce, chopped parsley and tomatoes and garlic... And making that takes time, so I don't really eat lentils.

Nut butters I stay away from because I tend to overindulge. I cannot control myself and every time I think that I can handle a jar of peanut butter or almond butter just sitting in my kitchen I'm wrong, LOL!

I need to look for salmon burgers. Does anyone know if they are good?

Mimosa, how do you steam them in the microwave and for how long?

I've only had the fried salmon patties before and have never had salmon any other way

Nutbutter can be made of sunflower seeds. I saw some natural nutbutter at Walmart the other day. I didn't look at the sugar content though. I may have to check it out.

In a microwave proof bowl, add about 4TB of water, put a salmon fillet in and cover with a plate. Then I usually cook the salmon on high for about 1.5- 2 minutes and check. (depending on how powerful your microwave is.) Usually that's enough for me. I like salmon to be very pink. Let stand for another 15-30 seconds with lid on. Discard water, season to taste, eat!

Depending on your tastes, you can put it in shorter or longer. This time is based on an 8oz salmon fillet. I use skinless and boneless because I'm greedy and I like to eat the salmon straight from the bowl, LOL!

Sam's has salmon burger too. Yum. I buy smoked salmon at TJ's or Sam's and have it on toast with cream or LC cheese. Double yum. And then there's salmon patties, and we make a salmon spread for sandwiches and add sliced cucumber. Hmmmm, now I want that for lunch. LOL

I hate, hate, hate the taste of salmon. I have tried every which way to cook it and still hate it so salmon is out. I like lentils in split pea soup so I can do those. Peanut butter (I love) but it is SO high in calories and I cannot do with just a dab.
Guess I will just keep on with the foods I am eating now since they are working for me.
Now I love mackeral patties. Too bad I can still taste the awful salmon even in salmon patties. I even tried mixing salmon and mackeral and the dog got those since I could still taste salmon.

Sounds JUST like me. DH and the spoon = empty peanut butter jar. I never ate peanut butter with a spoon until I saw DH doing it. Bad DH.
