Oh no. Could it be?

I've been eating a lot of eggs since going low-carb 2 months ago and today I ate 3 hard boiled eggs for lunch and not more than 5 minutes later I had hives and uncontrollable itching!!! It's been 8hrs and I'm still itching!

What the heck?! How does this happen? Did I eat too many and now my body is rejecting them?

I guess I won't be eating eggs for a while.

I love eggs.

Hi ,have you experienced that before? Have you used a different herb with the eggs? I can eat 5 eggs at once and not feeling something... Altough I am a tiny bit allergic to eggs...

Oh No!

I have a nephew who is allergic to eggs...and eggs are everywhere. As in, don't get a flu shot. You might consider being tested to make sure you reacted to the egg and this was not a coincidence and something else is actually putting you at risk.

I agree with getting tested. As for whether or not it could be . . . yep, it could be. Allergies can develop at any time, to any thing, even if you've had it every day of your life with no prior problems. Just the nature of the beast.

What Dawn said.

It does sound like it was the eggs. And with that sort of reaction, you need to be careful because future exposure can mean a more severe reaction. I would certainly get tested. You may even need to carry an epi pen in the event you are exposed to egg accidentally.

I tested positive for egg allergy in Feb. And I ate eggs every day too. I'm finding substitutes and adjusting, but it is hard.

I'm sorry you are dealing with it too.
