Fast-5
Has anyone tried or is anyone doing Fast-5. How is it working for you? I am curious about this woe and looked at the website but not sure what kind of results people get with it and if it still has the health benefits that JUDDD has.

I've done Fast-5 a couple of times, although I had very little success with it, weight-wise. I lost a couple of pounds is all. But, it has helped me with JUDDD on DDs in that I wait until later in the day to eat anything. My window was usually 3-8.
I liked that I could eat everyday, but I just wasn't losing anything. |

I think it's a great form of intermittent fasting for whatever health benefits you'd expect to get from it, but weight loss itself wasn't one of them. It didn't magically make me eat less. There's lots of versions of eating windows, the 5 hour one here, the 8 hour Leangains one, I think the warrior diet uses another, eat stop eat uses a few 24 hour fasts a week I think?
I guess I have a pretty informal eating window now, but it's more like...6 to 8 hours on my up days, and like 20 minutes on my down days. On my down days I only eat the one meal at around 7pm. On my up days my only "rule" is no eating until I've done my walking on the treadmill, and since I usually walk at about 1pm, and take a shower afterwards, I'm not eating until 2pm or so.

Janet, my experience was like Vanilla's. I created an eating window for myself as an experiment just before JUDDD. It felt terrific, and I think was great preparation for DDs for me. Without it, I'd have scarfed back my 400 calories before 6am and gone batty for the rest of the day.

I did fast 5 and didn't lose any weight on it. Some people do though.
It has other benefits, the health benefits of all intermittent fasting plans are nothing to sneeze at, but it didn't do much for me on the weight loss front. |
