Fascinating find

I don't remember the name ( sorry) but there is a new app out that you can take a picture of any food or meal and it will guestimate how many calories are in the dish. How great. I guess we could just check the apps on our phones, I touches, or I pads to find it, if you have them

Ditto.

Nor would I trust it as even with a given (ie known) food, there can be variation.

I found one called Meal Snap, but it appears to only be on the iPhone for $2.99. I have a Droid, so I can't test it

Wow, how cool would that be! Especially when eating out where they dont provide nutritional info. I did a little research and only found one like Manday said, Meal Snap which has somewhat poor reviews. Accuracy seems to be an issue.

However, I ran across an article about an app called PlateMate being developed by Harvard engineering students. Looks like a good one to keep our eye on for a release date
