Sleeping Oddness & Other Bodily Weirdness

I'm one week down now, and I've noticed something very odd when I'm lying in bed trying to get to sleep. There's a buzz. It's a nice buzz in my limbs and in my blood. My brain keeps floating and it feels like I lift up and float in circles. The only time I've ever noticed this before was at times when (to my immense regret) I carelessly allowed myself to become inebriated.

Anyone else noticed anything similar?

I've never felt that way or noticed it either, I usually fall asleep as soon as my eye are closed.

Never felt that but never really paid attention, I will tonight. I usually zonk out within 5 minutes of shutting off the light, though lately I have waking up again at 3:00 again! UGH!

I've kinda felt dizzy during the day a few times...not sure if it's the same. I feel like I'm "heavy." I can't really explain it. My head isn't spinning per se, and it isn't a bad feeling. Just weird.

Haven't noticed that, but I have noticed my ears hurt sometimes on Down Days. Also noticed, when I take the 1st bite on an UD my heart speeds up and I feel kinda weird. Been JUDDDing for almost a month. Those 2 things don't always happen, but I have noticed them. What gives? Should I be worried?

I also have not noticed the buzzing when trying to sleep, but I have noticed the racing heart rate. I noticed mine yesterday. I'm going to keep watching to see if I can link it to when I ate or didn't eat or anything else and see if it gets worse or better. I'm thinking it's just my body adjusting and switching between burning food, stored fat, and muscle. I remember I used to be able to tell when I went back into ketosis on Atkins after my weekends off...it always happened around 10am Monday morning. I'd get a 10 minute hot flash with a racing heart and then I'd feel fine. So I'm hoping this is something similar.

It's definitely interesting to see what other weird things people have noticed. Kind of takes the stress out of wondering if I'm having a bad reaction to something.

Sometimes an increased heart rate can indicate a food sensitivity or allergy.

Google "heart rate food allergy self-test" or something along those lines.

Could very well just be what you said, though, about the metabolism transitioning from the fasting state.

I would be extremely surprised if it was a food allergy in me. I haven't changed the actual food I eat at all, and I've never had a reaction.

Really? I'm glad someone else had it. What was it, do you know? Or did you have a theory?

Just FYI/FWIW....
Allergies can develop at any time in one's life.
"Reactions" can be very subtle (not hives, rashes, tongue swelling, anaphylaxis); inflammation inside the body, irritation of the digestive tract (even intestinal bleeding), pain and headaches that manifest several hours after ingestion of the food.

Other effects may develop so gradually--fatigue, insomnia, depression, vitamin deficiencies--that one would never suspect a food sensitivity. It's only after a few weeks of eliminating the irritant that one realizes how terrible one has been feeling for years!

I don't mean to alarm anyone about food sensitivities!!! Just wanted to share the info in case it helps anyone.

Oh this is so true. I developed food allergies for some unkown reason when I was in my late 30's. Had NEVER had problems before that. One of my symptoms was being extremely sleepy and I fell asleep on the examining table at the doctor's office. She sent me to be allergy tested. Turned out I was allergic to squash and I had a huge garden with all kinds of squash so had been eating baked, boiled, raw, fried squash everyday. I grew up eating squash with no problems.

That's bizarre.

A new symptom: super hearing! All of a sudden, everything has become very, very loud. I'm basically like superman at the moment.

Except nobody wants my help.

Let me know about your sense of smell, we could use someone here at work with a good nose!!!!

How's the sleeping now?

I can't say that I've experienced anything like you describe, but aside from having to get up to pee on my DD nights, I sleep very soundly since starting JUDDD....
