Dawn, I'm not around as much as usual and I just found this. I am so sorry you were hurt by the thoughtless remarks of your father's wife. Good response on your part!

One thing I wanted to say after reading through this thread is that you don't need to worry about Kiera having a small family. Quality is what counts to kids, not quantity.

You and your DH are clearly wonderful parents and my guess is that you have a circle of great friends who love and appreciate you and Kiera.

You are wonderful woman. X

Cindy, thank you for that! I hadn't really thought of it that way. We don't have tons and tons of friends, but we have very, very good friends who are closer than family.
