Starting JUDD 4/28/12 - please check out my plan
Hello JUDD BUDDs! :high5:
First of all, I love this board! What a wonderful, supportive family of wonderful people you all are. I ventured over here when I read several HCG grads, like myself, had a very easy time maintaining following JUDD than the post-HCG plan called Phase 3 - so here I am! I’m on my 4th and final HCG round, Tuesday will be my last day taking HCG, but need to go three days on the 500-calorie plan without the HCG to get it out of my system so the 500-calorie DDs should be a breeze for me. :hyst: While on HCG, I wasn’t exercising at all due to the very low calories and have still dropped over 80 pounds since June, 2011 which I'm very grateful and happy about. I’m going to start walking on my treadmill for thirty minutes four days per week and my first day will be an UD (this Saturday, 4/28/12 - finally, huh?) :hyst: I also decided to stay with the daily weighing and expect the bounce (particulary coming off a daily plan of 500 calories). :D We're going to an all-you-can-eat buffet on Saturday that has tons of protein choices and that's usually what I eat there anyway since I've dropped so much weight. My taste buds have done a complete 180, it's amazing. I plugged in my numbers on the JUDD site based on a weight of 143 (my new goal) and will re-calculate my numbers if the weight changes. This is what I entered: Height: 70” (5’10”) Weight: 143 Age: 42 Little or no exercise (I’m going to start with this option and may slowly increase from there) 35% Weight Loss Mode Results: 1691 UD/592 DD For the first two weeks of induction, I’m not going to eat any more than 500 calories, as the site states. Since my DDs are 592, I’m going to add the 92 calories I’m subtracting from the DD number to keep it at 500 calories and add it to the UD number of 1691 giving me a total of 1783 for an UD. I also am going to keep it fairly low carb for the first month or so and add good carbs in slowly. How does that sound? TIA! :) |
Bump. :D

Can someone comment/critique my plan please? :) I love all JUDDD experts here.

:welcome: Congrats on your weightloss! :jumpjoy: I think you are really going to like JUDDD! I think your numbers look fine. And I just wanted to mention that I do exercise everyday. Just see what works for you.

Sorry I didn't answer your question about moving your leftover calories to your ud. Hopefully someone will chime in. I'm just not sure about that!

I bolded what I thought was interesting... I like your logic here! I give myself a range of 500-600 calories on DDs, but as I estimate about how much I eat, I try to overestimate a bit, so I actually should be close to 500. I don't think I could go much less, honestly... not without hcg in my system. I do find skipping breakfast helps tremendously though... just drink something and keep the fluids going. I'll adjust my own calories if needed, but since I'm actually doing P3 on HCG, I'm not looking to really lose much other than to get to the bottom of my acceptable range. I'll kick it further into gear around P4 to get things moving more if I think I can. Enjoy your buffet on Saturday... those can be such fun! (Except for those on P2... ;)) And congrats on your 80 lbs lost! That's awesome! |
I am finishing up my 3rd week of JUDDD and never did any type of low carb so I am sure one of the veterans will chime in. If you don't lose and/or maintain, you may want to reconsider adding leftover calories from one day to the next as I do not believe that is part of the plan. Most people on here say to stick to the plan for 2-4 weeks before tweaking it. Good luck and Welcome!

I came up with this great menu for a DD:
B - coffee w/ powdered creamer (80), 3/4 cup Eggbeaters (90), butter spray (0) L - 4 oz. chicken breast (110), 1 tablespoon Best Food lowfat mayo (15), dill relish (0), ACV (0), 1 cup romaine (8), 1 cup spinach (7) S - 1 tablespoon chicken base (15), lots of water (0), 2 tablesppons powdered creamer (20) D - 4 oz. chicken breast (110), 1 cup romaine (8), 1 cup spinach (7), package shiritaki noodles (20). Total = 490 calories :jumpjoy: That seems like a lot of food, tons of filling protein too. :) |
Looks like a great menu!

Welcome!
You can always try the plan as you wrote it, and if nothing is happening for you, take those DD cals back off the UD and see if that helps. I think the biggest thing is to just start. The calculator gives you an estimate, and since everyone is different, it works for some and not for others. Some people simply can't do 500 cal dd's and never get that low and do fine. Others fast completely. I find I couldn't go above my UD cals at first because my metabolism had slowed so much, but now (after 3 mos on plan), I can eat more. I'm also pretty much in maintenance, so have more flexibility that way too. Looking forward to getting to know you! |
