What food/drink have you been influenced to try since JUDDD/LCfriends?
For me, I am very tempted to pick up a bag of chia seeds at the HFS on Friday, and that influence has come from Lou. She always has them listed in her "what are you eating today" posts, and I started reading a little about them.Sometimes I drink a little Crystal Lite Appletini to take some ACV, and this idea came from Babykinz. Also, after years of not giving a care about Cadbury Creme Eggs, DD and others raving on about them last month made me go through a couple boxes of them, lol, and I found out I like the chocolate best. Thankfully, it was a passing fancy, as I haven't wanted anymore since Easter (I still have a box stashed somewhere). ![]() I know I have more I could list, but that's a start. What are the foods or drinks you have now that you didn't before coming here?

Gluc, though I never use it anymore. Same with Oat Fiber.
Chia seeds, and I rarely use them anymore. ACV, only on my salads now. Gourmet chocolate--I don't usually want or crave sweets, but you all talk about it so much, I often have 1 or 2 little squares on an UD now. Marmite--of course that one came from Vicky or Cindy! ETA: Forgot to mention Oat Bran (Adi, I believe) and I'd like to try oat groats. |

Oh yes, you guys have sparked my memory now.
When I was doing LC, I was influenced to buy lots and lots of pork rinds. I never eat them anymore. Not that I burned out on them or anything, I just never have the taste for them.A week or so ago, I finally caved and bought a small bag of shiritake noodles after reading about them ceaselessly on the ML and here, but they are still in the fridge, haven't desired to try them just yet. And after doing the little informal poll on you guys months ago, I started drinking more tea (green, black, white, etc.) after we saw the correlation of tea drinking and weight loss on the poll results. But I just know it's also good and healthy, so I've learned to like it. I have it now more than I do my old fave of plain black coffee. Tina told us about coconut sugar a few weeks ago and that got me to buy a bag, but other than tasting it, I haven't done anything with it yet. And how could I forget almond milk? I saw a lot of people here using it, and finally tried it. Also tried coconut milk, but hated it. The unsweetened almond milk stuck however, and now I kinda enjoy it. |

I now have shirataki "miracle" noodles on autoship!
I used to hear of girls trying them on Hcg and kept thinking someday, I will pick up a bag and try, but I could not find one place that sold them! So, I located them on the famous website with my prime membership and this has become my down day staple. I really do like low carb woe best, and often dream of carby things that I would like to try again, but in most cases when I finally do break down and have some, it doesn't taste all that great. ![]() I am sold on JUDDD and find that the nice surprise is that it isn't really all that complicated except for counting cals. ![]()

I think the main thing has been the stir-fry cabbage, laughing cow and chicken. I eat that every down day now.
Otherwise, I think I eat pretty much the same foods I've always eaten, just on a different schedule. |

Anything GOOD? Only a few things...
Borage oil makes my skin GLOW! coconut oil for skin, teeth & hair ACV kicked weight loss into gear on LC Lots of things I've tried and left behind, though... Davinci syrups (I must have a dozen...damn splenda! Anyone in Maryland want a lot of free Davincis? Lol) Stallone Pudding Low carb tortillas (no thanks, I'm anti-soy, and prefer to leave the panic inducing products behind) and pretty much any "low carb" product that is frankened with inferior substitutes Pork rinds (I'm eating WHAT?!? This can't be healthy, and don't really taste good either...) Stevia (yuck!...and I tried it many moons ago before it went mainstream) And most recipes with LC substitutes (no, it DOESN'T taste just like the real thing!) And one I won't touch with a ten foot pole... Shiritake noodles. What is this? Water and some sort of indigestible non-protein, non-carb, non-fat element? How can this possibly be good for you? Eat to live, not live to eat. Why not save $ and munch on cardboard?Lol |

![]() I know lots around here love their shiritake, but I kinda feel the same. It's something I would have to special order, I've heard about the smell, and frankly it just doesn't sound appetizing. More power to those of you who eat it, but I'm another one who just doesn't get it. ![]() |

Almond Chia Milk, thanks Lou. I didn't know they gelled until I made this. I usually put them in my ricotta and couldn't tell.
I started using the gluc powder that was in my pantry for 4 years. lol Why did I quit? I have so many Torani and DaVinci flavors, I could open an old fashioned soda fountain! If you have a Cash & Carry near by, they have every flavor available and another brand I hadn't heard of called Monin (my only wish is they make a SF version of Lavendar). I tried it on an UD and WOW, was it good! Coconut oil...Who knew you could swish with it? I was using it for skin cream. Now I swish and eat it. Yogurt Tofu pudding. From Lighter Side. I tried it this morning with Chocolate Macadamia DaVinco..oh YUM. I thought the mango peach would be good, but it tasted too much like tofu. ;-) Tea! I've started drinking tea again and have found several I love. Turmeric Ginger, Blood Orange Chocolate, unsmoked Yerba Mate. Ovation Cappuccino chocolate sticks..I found these while on vacation. Very good. Didn't care for the Irish Cream. Cabbage and Laughing cow! Love this and started experimenting with other flavors. Yellow curry, Panang curry, korma. I started drinking almond milk again and discovered Almond Breeze makes a coconut Almond which is great. On vacation I found Coleman Natural Pesto Parmesan Chicken Meatballs (38 cal/meatball), SF salt water taffy (19 cal per) and Wind Mill Cookies (22 cal per) at Sprouts Farmer's Market. I've bought coconut flour for pancakes but...it's still waiting. Thank you all for sharing. |

cabbage and chicken (no cheese for me)
I tried shiratki noodles at my Mom's--ok, but I've never bought them myself A lot of the new things I've tried actually were the result of paleo--almond flour, coconut flour, coconut milk; and my allergies, almond milk, chia seeds, xanthum gum, arrowroot flour, almond milk yogurt Getting ready to get some resveratrol |

Miracle noodles are plant based soluble fiber. The funny thing is I won't eat much of anything that is processed and I am pretty particular about foods that are not plain whole foods, but I have to admit that this fooled me. It works and it provides a good fiber base for very little to no calories. I think it tastes very similar to ramen noodles. And talk about filling for DD! It is very filling.
* Wheat & gluten free and kosher * Made of naturally water soluble fiber with no fat, sugar, or starch * Zero net carbs, zero calories, and made of a healthy natural fiber called Glucomannan * Easily absorbs the flavors of any soup, dish, or sauce I do not remember who on this board told me about Baked Snapeas, but I am addicted to these now also! I can't believe that I never tried them before! I also found "Fresh Gourmet Crispy Jalapenos" when searching for something easy to spice up my salads and protein dishes and I can't live without them now! ![]() |

I'd never even heard of Laughing Cow cheese wedges before JUDDD, and now I have them from time to time on DDs since they don't taste too bad for light/low cal cheese.
Same with shirataki noodles and kelp noodles. Never heard of them before JUDDD, and now I like both. They help keep my DDs both low calorie and low carb and add a little more volume and bulk. I wasn't a coffee drinker before JUDDD, and now I have 16 oz every DD morning. It really helps suppress my appetite so I can wait until about 7-8pm for my first and only DD meal.

I am looking for Miracle Rice, not sure I could tolerate the noodles. I need to order the rice as I can't find it here.
Other things, Flax meal, almond meal, Crack slaw (cabbage with basically any protein), laughing cow cheese (specific to JUDDD). |

Sorry to threadjack, but the only shirataki -miracle-noodles I've seen-at Whole Foods-are made with tofu.
Can anyone direct me to where I might find the 0 calorie ones? I'd like to try them just for fun... |
