Sure fire ways to kill hunger on DDs

Let's see how many we can come up with! I'm pretty sure just reading this list will keep the munchies at bay.

1) mix up your dog's food. Especially wet/canned.

2) take out the garbage. Breathe deeply.

3) Floss your teeth. Observe any "findings" carefully. (and brush too!)

4) If you must cook, make your hubby's favorite food that you hate. I suggest frozen brussels sprouts (but some people *like* those <shudder>)


And some things to avoid to make your DD easier:
1) food network
1a) Paula Deen
2) PBS on Saturday mornings (aka, pre-food network for those with basic cable)
3) grocery stores, convinience stores, gas stations, your kid's halloween stash, and secret-secret stash
4) food based skin products (avodado mask, oatmeal scrub)
5) skin products that smell like food-- vanilla lotion, birthday cake body wash, sugar scrub...

Oh good one. FEAR FACTOR-- it's in repeats somewhere on cable, and I know they tried to bring back a new version... but the repeats are definite DD material!

Also good call on fish cleaning, cat/dog litter pickup (I love my dogs, and I'm happy they don't "go" in the backyard...).

On a serious note, the toothbrushing thing really helps get me through the night pre-bedtime, when sometimes I'd think of snacking.

Back to the list:

-- watch the opening scenes of Bones or any CSI show. those get more and more gruesome every season.

--Scrub the bathrooms, or just the inner rim of the toilet if you're feeling low energy. Or just *think* about doing this.

-- try on all your pants that may be 1 size too small... or maybe they won't be TODAY!!! Sort the "next" pants from the "right now" pants, and keep them where you can see them for the rest of the day/night.

--Review your finances.

DD for me and I'm officially hurling!

Cleaning the rim of the toilet put me over! Dog doo pick up started me rolling!

And I'm a former labor and delivery nurse who has been puked on, peed on, had bags of amniotic fluid burst on and cleaned more poo than I care to say.

Odd thing is as I get older my formerly cast iron stomach has turned into an aluminum foil stomach!

Had a few dirty jobs today.....
Fill up the compost bin, which at this time of year is crawling with ants
Unclog plugholes
At work (restaurant) - pick up cig ends from the garden, pull out all the fridges behind the bar to be met by old peanuts and unidentified sticky mess
Clean out the deep fat fryer (not that it gets much use anymore!)
Empty the hoover which my dear boyfriend uses to hoover up our rabbits poo!

Last DD I took pictures of myself in a swimsuit!!! I have one that fits good and one that is still too small. I squeezed into it anyway. Instant appetite suppressant. And now I have the appetite killing photos to look at next DD.

Cleaning the kitchen appliances-- very clever. Not lighting the fruity candles, and bathing suits! OMG, I'm so not there yet...

I travelled today-- airports are vile places Just the thought of touching my unwashed hands to food-- ick.

Went to Target when I got to my destination (bought some DD staples). Saw a baby licking the tray on her stroller.

(guess we build up our immunity systems, one disgusting thing our mother's don't see at a time).

Cleaning out shower drains or sink drains would do it for me...not just pouring the drano down the drain, actually pulling the big old glop of hair, soap and goodness knows what else out of the drain! EWWWWWW!

Ironically cleaning toilets doesn't phase me at all...I think I keep them too clean and they don't get really gross.

This is hilarious! I cleaned out my fridge of some leftovers that had gottens shoved to the back unknowingly on my last DD. I didn't eat for HOURS after that!!!

Here's one more: Volunteering to change my grand baby's diapers!!! When I was a young mother, never gave it a second thought. Now that I'm 57 I avoid it at all costs. Same thing with helping to potty train on of the grand kids!!

The drain thing-- so too. I can add to it-- HOTEL DRAIN. nuff said. (i.e. my own drain at home, gross. STRANGERS nasty hair and "stuff", omg, I'm going to die)

Any reality show set in a swamp. (swamp people, duck dynasty, so on)... Squirrel brains anyone? (the food, that's not a commentary on the people).

OH-- the thought of licking an ashtray. yuk!

When I lived there I once saw a young girl, maybe 4 or 5 y/o, LICK the surface of the separator glass on the Tube. I think it was the Piccadilly line...
