I lost 9lbs in 4 days on JUDDD!!!
Ok so most of of it had to be water weight! But so far so good. I have lost 9 lbs since tues:jumpjoy::jumpjoy: I work out religiously and follow a low carb program, doing around 600 cals on DD and Idk the cals on UD's I just LC everything until im "fuuuull".(est. 1500cals)
Well i have been reading alot and most ppl who have came from atkins or other lowcarb diets say that they eat junk, sweets....whatever on UD's. So my question is....On an UD do I eat until i am full(which i am never full becasue of my new vicious metablolism), eat my daily recommended calories, or just pig out on what ever? Today I slipped up... badd its only noon and ive had oreo ice cream, oreo cookies, shortbread cookies, Dove chocolate candies, not to mention a sausage Biscuit *gasp* with syrup, sausage burrito, mini hash browns, pork skins and a couple of atkins bars....yea I know sickening! What will my scale look like tomorrow? Should i be eating within my 2837.58 daily recommend calories or is okay to gorge lke this? :dunno: |
:congrats: on the loss!! :high5:
Some of us :hiya:(me) went hog wild on my first UDs (but I have always counted calories for everything, with just a few FD throw in there after I reached maintenance that I didn't count, and truly believe we should count UDs until we get the hang of JUDDD) with all the junky food I couldn't or wouldn't allow myself on LC. :stars: After about 1 month that stopped and now I have a treat here or there but nothing like when I started. I think for me if was the "wow, I can finally have this" and the thought pattern that I would never be able to have it again that set me up to eat more junk in the beginning. When my mind finally realized I could have that food every other day the need to have that food just about went away and I don't even think "junk" anymore!:clap: |

But then again, if you're losing on those numbers, why not? |
I think a few "pig out" days in the beginning are normal, esp if someone is switching from LC. :)
The idea of eating without counting calories may work for people who maintain their weight easily, without gaining, when they eat according to their appetite. For people whose appetite doesn't really match their needs, counting calories may be helpful. The scale may show a big bounce upward tomorrow; be prepared! But it will probably go down after your next DD. Eating a lot on UDs can either keep your metabolism roaring, and you'll be able to eat more in maintenance (more than if you'd lost using another plan), OR it could slow your weight loss. Everyone's different! Good luck and YAY on your great start! |
Congrats on your quick weight loss, but WOW  over
2800 calories on an UD sounds like ALOT!! |
So I gained about 3 lbs. After my UD....praying its all water weight, I did really good today about 400 cals so hopefully it will all even out in the a.m! My fingers are crossed! I only did about 45 mins of cardio today because I was just wayy too tired to do anything more!

Make sure your calculations are in pounds not kg... I also put no exercise. My stats are in my details.
I low carb dd and eat my 1970 calories of what ever I want! Welcome to Juddd. |
Thanks Maria...I used lbs but I put that I exercise 5 times a week vigorously and I honestly do! I'm going to recalculate and see how many cals I need if I put no exercise! Thanks everyone! I love this new JUDDD FAM!
|
2280...I THINK I'LL STICK TO THAT! LOL
|
Or you could try one step lower on the exercise instead of going all the way to zero!
Good luck with the scale tomorrow! :) |
Congrats on the loss! The bounce was just water weight, so no worries...
If you continue to lose by eating that many calories on UD's, don't change a thing! I'd only start tweaking if you stop losing weight. |
Those three pounds should be completely or almost completely gone. To a certain extent, upward bounces are the best way to prove you did break the caloric stress response on UD. Interestingly ... as you build up more and more sirtuin enzymes on DD ... over time the same number of UD calories may result in smaller and smaller bounces.
Keep moving! You are rockin' JUDDD! |
:jumpjoy: Wowww! WTG, Marie! :jumpjoy: :high5:

Thanks sooo much ladies! So this morning I was 181.5 from my 180.8 .....Ill take a .7 gain, Im actually feeling good about it considering the crap I ate! Today, I am going to have self control and low carb at least for the next two weeks when my 90 day fitness challenge is over!

I am delighted by your great losses and equally amazed that you did it with those impressive UDs.:lol::lol:
Your new UD cals will work just great, I sure. I am in maintenance and I do have to admit that I am often amazed at how many calories I can eat and still get away with it, after a good DD. I am not recommending it of course.:o |
