For me it's ice cream. I can have a half-gallon sit in the freezer for months. I just usually don't care for it. I do like soft-serve, though, and will get a cone from DQ or Sonic a couple of times a year. And I'll eat popsicles, even the ice-cream based ones sometimes. But those are usually more about the chocolate coating.

Me too (and apple pie). Everyone in my family LOVES ice-cream, so my grandmother always said I must have been adopted from a foreign country, because I was absolutely un-American!

Until I read this post, I didn't realize that there are so many things I won't eat...too many to list, probably.

Some of them are:

seafood of any kind, but love catfish and crappie
pasta and rice
liver of any kind, lamb, dark meat chicken, exotic animals
alcoholic drinks of any kind
mushrooms
chinese food
and the list goes on and on, but I won't bore you!

I like sweets, but don't crave them, or eat alot of them. My downfall would be bread of just about any kind, and potatoes of any kind. BUT, I do try to stay away from them. I love most veggies.

Everyone is so different in our tastes. Even my kids love things I don't!

You're all crazy, milk? Seafood? Chocolate chip cookies?!

I think I like too many things, if I was picky I would not be here.

Leave:
Potatoes (they taste like nothing, I'd rather eat the butter)
Most fruit, except tropical types like coconut, guava, pineapple...etc
Bread, unless there is cheese and sauce involved
Eggs...sick of em
Pork
Pasta...although I like me some dreamfields

Take:
I haven't found a veggie I didn't like!
Beef! Preferably steak
Sushi!
Me and rice are frenemies...I could eat it all day and not be full, but it tastes soooo good
Coconut! Obsessed...
Thai food
Pizza
Coffee w cream
Cookies There is no satisfying LC equivalent...
I like all kinds of cheeses, especially pastries involving cheese
Nuts
Chocolate

Yum I better stop it's a DD

I've never been a picky eater but there are certain things I pass on:

Most fish and seafood. I do really like fried crappie, and shrimp fixed just about any way, though.

Meringue topping for lemon or chocolate pies or banana pudding. The pies are much better with whipped cream and the 'nanner puddin' doesn't need anything.

Never have been a fan of oatmeal. But I seriously love grits (even plain).

Organ meats.

I'm not a picky eater.
So lots of favorite foods.
I've tried lamb and deer meat.
Those two foods I can't eat.
Just so wild taste. Gags me.
A few years ago a hunter friend gave us some deer sausage.
I told him no thanks. I can't handle it.
He said oh no, he fixed it different, he said its very good.
Ugh, just the smell of it cooking was enought to know it wasn't going to work for me.
I wish I did like deer meat. I'd have plenty in the freezer. mainly to keep the deer from eating MY TREE seedlings. Grrr
Fun thread.

Crisps (chips in USA) - one or 2 is plenty.
Rice, pasta - boring...I like what goes with them though!
Bread - dull..I eat the fillings
Alcohol...dont like the taste, and dont like how it makes me feel!

So how did I gain weight...well, I dont just have a sweet tooth..I have a whole set! I adore dark chocolate, dried fruit, puddings, cake...and most of all shortbread!
I also love cereals, like museli, oatmeal and all bran.

hugs
Jo

Red beets
avocados

They are just about the two foods I can't tolerate.

I realize how good avocados are so good for so many, but dh and I have both tried to develop a taste for them, and it's a no-go for both of us.

Oh, I forgot the one that's "weirdest" to most...Cinnamon Rolls. I just don't get it. I like cinnamon in general, just not cinnamon rolls - yuck. Although the frosting is good...
