Is this true? On my dd I can have a whole Panera Bread bagel?

Ok today is my second down day this week. I just started back on this journey. So, PLEASE chime in and correct me if I am wrong before I get too excited!!!

According to my app LOSE IT! on my driod I ate 169 cals so far. That was 1 ounce of white albacore tune, 1 egg white (made a crappy omlette) and two tablespoons of heavy cream in my coffee. ** does anyone know of a lesser low cal substitution?

Ok so that totals up to 169. I have 331 cals left and a whole panera bread bagal is 350 cals.. so for dinner I can eat the entire bagal and be fine.. correct? (if this is true my low carb self is saying... no way..)

Yep, you can do that. You'll have to see if it curbs the hunger for the remainder of the evening to determine if it's a wise choice for you on a DD, but it fits in the calories (just a little over--no butter or cream cheese on that bagel though!). So yeah, you can eat it.

Sure, as long as it's only the bagel and no butter or cream cheese (you'll obviously be over by 20 but that is minimal...)

I use 1/2 & 1/2 in my coffee (40 cals per 2 Tablespoons).

I'd go for 1/2 of the bagel (160ish) and put a bit of butter and cream cheese on it, or even skip the butter and cream cheese and have a can of chicken noodle soup (150) or a hard boiled egg (70). I'd save half of the bagel is what I'm saying....how satisfying is a plain bagel with nothing on it?

Sure can! You will be over by 19 calories but that is OK, really. Enjoy the bagel if that it what you want!

Thanks!! Good suggestions! I am going to eat half of the bagel and 2 tablespoons of cream cheese and I'll still be under 300 cals!!!

You CAN, but I'd save it for an UD so you can have it with cream cheese!

Plus, I'd be starving if I had just a plain bagel with no protein.

If I eat half a bagel and 2 tablespoons of cream cheese that still leaves room for maybe an egg white!

This is what I was going to say. The beauty of the plan is you can select what you want within your calorie limits, but each body is different and some of us find we get a whole lot more hungry with "just carbs". If I don't have carbs along with protein, I can get ravenous!! So just watch for patterns on how you do with foods you select for your DD. Enjoy!

You are catching on fast.

As Tina and Beverly warned, re-introducing carbs can be at first. Some kinds of carbs may trigger hunger or cravings ... or may just be a delicious treat. Watch how you respond to the bagel. If you don't like the way it makes you feel, wait a few weeks until you have more JUDDD magic in your system. For many of us (like me) those unpleasant responses soon go away.

Personally, I don't think ANYTHING can replace real cream. So, I have trained myself to savor a carefully measured teaspoon at a time in my coffee (and figure calories at 1 tablespoon = 3 teaspoons which gives me a little wiggle room).

I did not "lose" weight. I evicted it. It is gone and it ain't coming back!

JUDDD cares about calories. JUDDD does not care what you eat. Your body probably does.

I am using the so delicious coconut screamer. Its only 10 cals and 1 carb per T. Its surprisingly wonderful. Nice and thick and 1T is plenty. I like it so much I have switched to even using it on UDs.

Its 9:30 and I am JUST now feeling a very very slight hunger pain which can wait since tommorow is an up day. Thanks sooo much for telling me about the heavy whipping cream. Ran out and bought some half and half so I can eat more calories then drink them!

I love this too. With my milk protein allergy, I can't have any other creamer (or at least I haven't found one I can have). And this really is SO Delicious!

My problem is, I can't get it locally. Going to have my mom bring me some more when she comes to visit at the end of the month.
