Another dairy-free, soy free option is PlantFusion...I recommend vanilla bean!
Very delicious & non-gritty. I worked in a juice bar a couple years ago & this was my favorite protein to use; everybody loved it! |

Coming back to say that I have been using the SW vanilla this week and it is really, really good! I also got some Garden of Life to try. I love that these are organic and raw and the GoL is sprouted.

I so can't wait to get paid so I can get this! I had not tried brown rice protein before this week when I found some bars made with it at a health food shop, and they were really good so I'm sure shakes made with it will be yummy too...

I got a bag of the green powder too......but I haven't tried it yet. It smells really strong and I don't want to ruin a perfectly delicious smoothie! LOL Lately I've been using 1 scoop of the vanilla, 1/2 cup greek yogurt, 4 ounces of blueberries, 1 tsp of chia seeds, 1/2 tsp of cinnamon, and a tsp of coconut oil.....all organic. The greek yogurt really ups the protein. Mine is not the rice one. Just because the other one I got was all sprouted grains I wanted something different.

I'm going to pick some of the Sun Warrior up today and give it a try. When I went and looked last weekend, I didn't pay attention if they had the warrior blend or the classic protein. I'm going to have to figure that out. They both look good on the website, but the classic has fewer calories. I'm all about the calories on a DD!

Ok, so after trying my whey protein 3 times in the past week again, the problems I had last year never came back. Wonder if it's some sort of healing from JUDDD? I use two types, Natural Factors Whey Factors Double Chocolate and Well Wisdom Vital Whey Natural Cocoa.
They're both tasty but the Well Wisdom one tastes better to me and is much more creamy. Both are stevia-sweetened with no sugar or artificial sweetners and the Well Wisdom one comes from grassfed milk. They're both 80 calories for a big scoop. I've been ending my UDs with a huge chocolate shake using my Well Wisdom, Fage 0%, pinch of pure unsweetened cacao powder, bit of stevia, couple ice cubes and one egg tossed in. It is insanely filling and tastes like a thick chocolate milkshake. ![]()

Jay Robb protein powders mix really well (no clumps) and are really delicious.

Really confused about which whey protein powder to buy. I have the Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Double Chocolate, but it's got 120 calories per scoop, and I'd really like a lower number. Although it has fantastic reviews. I'm also not sure how it's sweetened.
Have read good things about Jay Robb, which uses Stevia, I believe? Which artificial sweetener is... the "least" bad? Any other recommendations? No soy, please Last edited by buttah; 07-27-2012 at 11:04 AM.. |
