Something shifted: week 9

I have been happily cruising along with DD between 600-800 and averaging a little under a pound a week loss.

This week, it seems like I am really not that hungry on DD, more like a little reminder that I am a little hungry than gnawing, growling, stomach trying to eat itself hunger. I have been at less than 600 my last 3 DD without even thinking about it.

All of that is a relief, first of all, but. . . my weekly loss this week was 2.8 pounds! I have 7 1/2 pounds to goal

Woo Hoo! It sounds to me like you lowered your DD calories down just enough that they fell below some *crossover* point, and that propelled you to a level where you moved from merely low calorie dieting into the triggering of more JUDDD/fasting/SIRT1 benefits of this plan. As you observed.. something shifted. You reached a different DD calorie level, and for you, that brought you to the crossover. That was your magic number apparently. There really is a reason why we have low calories on Down Days when we do this plan. That's a lot of what makes JUDDD work its magic.

How exciting that you are so close to goal weight! I'll bet it won't take long to get there now.

Well, this looks incredibly like you're there.

Plus, I think this example is encouraging to newbies who haven't been able to hold their DD calories as low at the beginning as JUDDD tells us to. Some can do a fabulous job with holding to the low DD calories, right from their start, but others of us (me, for one) just had a real hard time doing 500 or fewer calories on Down Days, so had to start higher.

Plus, another thing.. LOL.. it does point out also that it's a good idea to try to get those DD calories down a bit lower whenever you're able to manage that. Even if you can't manage it every DD, any that you can will propel you toward better weight loss and faster weight loss, and most of us think getting slim sooner rather than later would be nice.
