Mind vs. Scale

I don't know if I'm the only one experiencing this but here goes!

Sometimes when I look in the mirror I somehow feel that my arms are somewhat smaller.. Tunmy somewhat flatter.. But when I step on the scales, no loss.

I haven't been exercising either so I don't think it's muscles.. Is it an illusion, physiological or?

Thanks!

We often shrink in size, even if the scale doesn't give us the same information.

The good news is - people see you - not the number on the scale!

I have noticed this time around, my body is shrinking more than what what I feel the scale should be. I am 60 and things seem to be changing differently. But I now look at this as my WOL and not a fast race ..
I am just glad our weight is not registered on our forheads

That happens to some/many of us: inches shrink while the scale bounces around the same low. Eventually the scale catches up (or down) in the JUDDD equivalent of an LC whoosh. That is the reason those of us who have been JUDDDing awhile encourage everyone to measure - so we can see progress happening. I weigh daily. But I do so to monitor how my body reacts to various foods, and to make sure I am not gaining. These days my weight loss seems to come, not gradually, but in a series of two pound drops.

Muscle weighs more than fat. If you do some searching on google you will learn not to trust the scales. My clothes don't lie but my scales do.
