I'm butting back in again - tooooooooo many DDs in a week - should be 3 or 4 max!!!!!!!

This diet is not purely about calorie restriction - it's about creating different states in your body - to induce the SIRT1. If you have too many DD you won't have the right state in your body to have the SIRT1 gene activiated. You will eventually have too many DD and your body will start to hang on to your fat.

Yes, at the moment you are losing weight - most people do at the start of a calorie restriction diet - particularly when you have a lot to lose. The elation of losing weight will carry you through the deprivation for a while - but then you will start to stop losing (if that makes sense) and the elation will go and the hunger will raise its ugly head and you'll think that JUDDD doesn't work and move on to something else.

Have a look back on my earlier post - you can play around with JUDDD to a certain extent - but don't call it JUDDD if you're doing something different.

Please give some thought to how you can average you can get your average calories over the week. Without more than 3 or 4 DD per week!

no, obviously this isnt juddd ... its just IF
So it wouldnt be possible for me to say juddd doesnt work,
it clearly does.
you can eat A LOT of food for the calories
and i can always mix it up if it does stop.

LOL! No, as a matter of fact, I can't eat it all in one meal either. Usually, a really good dinner is closer to 1000. I have decided that when this happens on an UD, I will supplement with EVCO & a couple of glasses of wine to help me get in 1500. I have figured out that the one reason that I enjoy DD so much, is simply having my dinner be my one meal and not having to concern myself with 3 meals.

One of my fav meals for dinner is Gulfcoast Steak & Shrimp at Saltgrass Steakhouse. It is 1500 cals and although, I probably could eat it at least once per week, it is not possible to eat it EOD.

As I said, I think experimenting is a good idea. But what is working for one person may be a disaster for another. perhaps its because im 3 times the size of you.... literally haha
you go on 600 and im 3 times as big!
but a good example is, a foot long turkey is around 1000 then i add on to that. a sub is a good start.

the first part of the week was bad. i did someone a favor and they rewarded me with Carrot Cake lol. i didnt go crazy with it. normally i could have tossed it and said it was great, HOWEVER, i have had this persons carrot cake before and lets just say its probably one of the best things i have EVER put into my mouth haha. seriously, its one of those things. sooooo i gave half of it away and put parts of it in the freezer which actually made it better lol. ITS GONE!
i wasnt making much headway early in the week due to this little gift BUT
by yesterday i was at my lightest YET. didnt weigh today. im still exploring a little.
im just baffled at how the body works and im enjoying experimenting a little.

saturday was my lightest AFTER friday where i had the most to eat all week!
what did i have friday? double cheeseburger, fries, cheese sticks for lunch.
footlong sub with cookies for dinner. blows my mind but still goofing with this.
i had been (on juddd) eating all my calories in the course of 4 hours. but im thinking putting some time between them is really going to help .. A lot. more experiments this week.
im going to go buy a blender tomorrow and im going to try something i saw on tv and sneak in veggies. im not big with veggies. i can count the ones i actually like on one hand.
potatoes, carrots, cukes, lettuce, and im sure there is another lol.
im going to try the 60/40 thing where you put in 40% veggies in a blender and 60% fruit. sneaking in veggies with sweet drink. drink this a few times a week for lunch.
i want to get in some of those colorful veggies that look good and taste nasty! =))

seriously you can add a ton of spinach to a fruit smoothie and not taste it. I find spinach to have the mildest taste out of any greens, plus its one of the healthiest. You will see it though...your smoothie will be very green!

i dont mind spinach but i think it has a very metallic taste. i think from iron. i am use to avoiding iron due to being on LC and all the meat!
i made the mistake of buying vitamins with iron too! trashed them lol
but now i dont get the iron sooo

Its really interesting to hear how you are making IF flexible for your lifestyle Jamie, please keep it coming!

When I (hopefully soon!) start to maintain I will probably be mixing my rotations up a little just so dieting doesn't have to interfere socially, so its great to read methods which are tried and tested.

Hey Ohio Guy: I'm enjoying reading about your experiment with different ways to get the benefits of IF. (Well, except for the carrot cake part! Carrot cake seriously is my favorite food in the entire world and has been for years. I had two big pieces on Easter Sunday!!) Today is a DD and just saying CC is making my mouth water!

I am soooooooo glad you are losing so well! One thing I liked when reading Dukan's book was how he talked about the importance of a "First Decisive Weightloss" at the beginning of a WOE to keep us motivated.

That's what kept me going in August. It came off very quickly in the beginning. I definitely would not have stayed with a plan that gave me a slow loss at the very start.

lol, i dont think anyone would gain eating this way iffff the calories were portionate.
since i have gotten the carrot cake out of the house, things have been going QUICKLY.
averaging a half pound a day.
i may have found my own sweet spot.
i eat a very small breakfast earlier. like 10am.
i then have my main dinner at 5:00 to 630ish
and then fast from then until morning "snack"
a couple hundred calories in between the 24 hour fast (1 mean a day)
i think this keep the metabolism awake.
i also ALWAYS do my exercise mid afternoon on empty stomach.
i have also been eating desert every day but it has to be with the one meal.
i have also been using the red wine before bed however i think im going to stop.
i think its messing with my sleep. im going to stop using that next week to test it.

before carrot cake 50.4
after the carrot cake i was back up to 52.8
and today was 45.2 pretty big loss for 5 days.

my snack is usually almonds or trail mix.
this week i added dark chocolate (70/75%) to the almonds/nuts
and still losing that fast.
i have a pizza habit that will never go away and why i hate LC
and i usually gain after it but it quickly goes away.
pizza also causes me to want something sweet HORRIBLY.
what i have been doing is before im full on pizza i eat some of that dark chocolate as dessert and im good! =)

from the guy who first posted about JUDDD and being a crab crack head, for the first time in my life i feel like i have complete control. everything is balanced and im not neglecting anything. i have chocolate and pizza and losing! =)
i can live with this. more updates to come
