Medium Day calories?

Hi, I'm Lynn and I'm new here. I started JUDDD April 1st and it's going okay. Have lost about 3 lbs, which doesn't seem great, but I'm hanging in there for at least a month. Losing 3 lbs is way better than gaining 3!

Yesterday was my up day. Tonight I have a dinner to attend and I have checked out the restaurant's menu and I don't see anything that would be 500 calories or less. I was hoping to do a medium day today and a down day tomorrow. Does that sound reasonable? I know there's an order if you are inserting a medium day but I can't remember it....need to jot that down!

It's easier to do a MD after a DD and before an UD--order would be DD/MD/UD. I remember it by going from small to medium to large. Others remember it because it falls in alphabetical order.

Some have done the reverse order with no problems, so it might work okay for you. The reasoning behind the order is that you should be as well fueled as possible going into a DD, and if it follows a MD, you will probably be more hungry than usual.

You can easily do a MD today and a DD tomorrow and may be better so you don't do UD/MD/UD again. When we throw a MD in the rotation the idea is to move the day you are replacing, UD or DD, to the day after the MD. In your case you would move your DD today to tomorrow.

I have done it a few times myself. Just eat lots of protein/good fats to day to make the DD a little easier. It's always seems to work better with the "small/medium/large" concept but sometimes it just doesn't work out that way.
