Oh I completely understand. It is really wonderful to have a a nice potato!!

OK it's an UD for me. I gained a pound back from earlier in the week, and tomorrow is a DD. Hopefully on Tuesday I can see another bounce. Come on snake eyes!

I'm down 1.6 lbs after 12 days JUDDD. Doesn't sound like a lot, but it's definitely moving in the right direction.

I'm done with the low carb thing. Yesterday, I ate what I wanted when I wanted. With one exception. No wheat for me. I have that celiac thing going on. But I did have a bag of M&Ms yesterday. I was at the store and I just bought it because I wanted it. And it was my UD. So I ate it. With no guilt.

I've been struggling (and whining) quite a bit since my weekend bounce stuck and derailed the few pounds I have been able to lose this month. I've been extra good this week (hear that whoosh fairy?!) but have not been able to weigh for a couple of days. Doing a good, solid DD today and am a bit scared to get on the scale in the morning. If I am still UP I will be discouraged (and pissed off). Thought you other old ladies might be able to relate since I am pretty sure I have zero metabolism these days. Hoping to at least be back to my pre- bounce weight tomorrow after a solid week of work. Please, please, please!

I messed up yesterday's DD and have to do a repeat today. Arggh! I am finding if I only eat the things that show calorie content, rather than just guess, I may do better.

So, I've read this in 2 places now: When you lose after a DD it is fat burning away. When you gain after an UD it's a re-feed and you are maintaining or building and strengthening muscle.

In the long run, keeping muscle and losing fat is what we want!!!

Thanks for this thread. It's what drew me to JUDDD last week. I'm down about 3.5 lbs over the first week, which is phenomenal in my eyes. This, in a week which included peanut butter, chocolate, pineapple, carrot cake, and apple crisp. If this is menopause, I'm HAPPY.
