I am not losing weight. i got down to 174, but am back up to 177. I started at 179.

I am having Bernice issues which I am trying to fix & will probably be going to see the doc soon if things don't get moving.

I am 5ft 6 and 42 years old. Any suggestions??? I'm a little frustrated. (and hungry today)

Well you have been doing this for 3 weeks and lost 3 pounds. I average one pound per week so for me that is good.
It takes some of us longer to get the enzymes going and it just takes Patience.
I also did LC for a very long time so I have felt that might have played a part in my slow losses and slow start. I have now been JUDDDing for 13 weeks and I am down 18 pounds so those little losses add up.

I just posted a mini-vent over in the (JUDDD) main thread. I need to remember what Adi said about the pounds lost and weeks we've been JUDDD'ing. I'm patiently waiting for the pounds to melt off and puddle at my feet.

You're doing good and 1 lb. a week is a good rate to lose. I have no words of advice - only a hug, sympathy, and a "hang in there" whoop!

Vanilla - I have to go find your vent.

I did get down to 174... I know the numbers bounce. I guess it's because it's not just falling off that I'm all whiny.

If I stop being a crybaby and realize that adding the carbs back after many years of not eating them. Still being pretty sedintary and also look at everyone's results that i just need to be more patient.

One thing I did wonder is if my numbers are ok. I'm still doing 500 on my dd's (usually less) and while I try to get to 2000 on my UD I don't often get there.

Our stats are very similar and I am a slow loser.
Have had bm issues too.
I RELIGIOUSLY have a morning routine that keeps my bowels functioning even with fast days.
I drink chia almond milk for breakfast pretty much every day (1 T organic chia seeds gelled overnight in 1 cup unsweetened almond milk) and I make sure I take 1-2 capsules of really good probiotics and 1 gram of good ester-C with that. The next meal I eat (usually early-mid afternoon whether up or down day) I take another single probiotic capsule and another gram of C.
I drink hot water first thing in the morning (and usually all day long) as this can stimulate movement also.
I eat good organic yogurt almost every day, or a good cultured cottage cheese to add more good bacteria.
At bedtime I take a heaping teaspoon of Natural Calm organic lemon magnesium. I worked up to this amount and on down days I only do about half a level teaspoon or get really loose bowels. If I feel clogged up I may take a level teaspoon of Natural Calm in the morning. This is very rare anymore. I also soak in epsom salt baths (more magnesium and you absorb more through skin if you do a decent concentration and soak for more than 20 min). I take these baths at least twice a week, usually with drops of lavender essential oil sprinkled in. There are scented epsom salts out there too. It takes at least 2 cups in a modest bathtub to get a good concentration for skin absorption, I love baths so it works for me. I buy the boxes at Costco.
The only comment I have on your food is that shakes and such always made me 1-gain and 2-feel gross from chemicals, colors, flavors, stabilizers, processed gunk. I see a lot of food items that are flour and processed to the point that small changes could make you feel dramatically better.
By personal lifestyle choice now I eat clean whole real food, and try not to eat meals without produce. Might help you, I had to learn the hard way to make better quality choices in my food, and it has taken me years to switch over my habits and kitchen.

WOE: Good bye LC, Hello Juddd
Start Date: 3/5/2012 atkins intro JUDDD 3/29/12
ive read a lot of threads where peeps are saying it the weight loss comes a lot faster after 3 or 4 weeks.
ive also stated a lot of people here in JUDDD did LC at once time and probably dropped weight super fast at least once. this isnt LC. this is being able to eat carbs and the foods you couldnt before. even if you eat LC still, its still a different WOE.
ive been sticking to plan and losing sloooowly too, but as others have stated im giving it a month before i panic =)

Susan, Hang in there! I think you are just now coming up on Week 4??? It has taken some of us 4 weeks to activate the Sirt1 in to full melting mode. It seems that some get the big drop right at the beginning week, but many don't see much happening until after the 4th week. I think you are going to have a whoosh soon and that will keep you motivated and HAPPY!

thank you everyone

B Lou - when I was eating LC I was definitely eating more whole foods.

I didn't realize that there is a 4 week mark! I will keep plugging along. I need to get back to taking magnesium every day. i also have some other aides in the house. What worries me is in the past when I've drank the dieters tea it worked & worked fast. now, nothing. BUT i have a different kind and I lost the box so I'm not even 100% it's the right dieters tea!

Our numbers are very similar also and I have about 10 more lbs on than you. I don't eat much any of the types of food that you do, but then Dr. J says it doesn't matter as long as your cals are right.

What is a cannon cake? I Googled it, but all I came up with are cakes in shapes of cameras.

I would be VERY VERY careful with your DD calories and be sure your counts are accurate.

Anyways, I think you are doing really well..... I came from LC where , in the past, I lost really fast so this bouncy scale is a little disheartening but when you look at the big picture you can see it working.

Look at the bouncy ball graph thread.

They're plain alone but with a little laughing cow cheese or peanut butter if you're lc'ing and they're good. light but filling. I need to get some more.

One thing I did wonder is if my numbers are ok. I'm still doing 500 on my dd's (usually less) and while I try to get to 2000 on my UD I don't often get there.
I'm the same height and a tad bit younger, and my WL calories were 1700-1800 on UDs. If I went over that, I maintained or gained. And usually the higher our age gets, the lower the calorie numbers go. I know everyone is different though, and being at a higher weight one can probably do higher calories until more weight is lost. But when I put in your info in the calculator (using 175#) it says 1836 on UD and 550 on DD at 30% WLM. If you are trying for 2000 calories daily, that may be too much. It may be closer to your maintenance numbers. So, unless there's something I'm not seeing clearly, I see that you might lose better if you try landing between 1700-1800 on UD (definitely don't go lower than 1700 but don't go much over 1800 if you can help it) and keep your DD where they are, you could do 500 or a tad more if you need it. If you don't need more on DD, that's fine too of course. This is just a suggestion based on my experience at similar stats as yours and also what I put in the calculator.
