Day 3, second dd. Still haven't been able to get below 700. Maybe after grocery shopping. Is it possible to eat more frequently with only 500 cals?

Hi Wormie!

I think you can do whatever you want with the 500 cal... some people seem to really make it stretch out-- broth with low cal veggies in it, egg whites, etc. It's all what you choose to do and how you feel.

Maybe shoot for 650 first? Then 600? I've read a lot of people ease into it, that 500 is hard to just jump to for some.

Did you do your UD/DD numbers? I think as long as there is a significant difference between your UD (which I'm guessing is around 2000) and your DD, you're on a good path.

Some people fast entirely, some do the 20%, some range from 20% to 35%...

I had a harder DD today too. I didn't go over, but I sure feel like I could. I had an extra ounce of chicken, and eliminated my almond milk after dinner, so I'm still at 479. But other DDs have been easier, for sure.

You are doing fine. As hunger suppression kicks in, it becomes easier to get those calories down. And you will get a better feel for what foods keep you full longer too. Much better to start at 700, and work down over time, and stick with it, than to try to go too low too fast and quit because it's too hard.

Read through the DD food threads to get ideas for meals, and then make a plan, do some shopping, and keep at it.

You'll get there.

Thanks, guys. Yes, I did the numbers are they are 413/2063. I am having a real hard time with 413 as you can see. I was 731/763 on my first two dd.

I was 34 cals over on my first UD. Today is 2nd UD. I guess I am still in the honeymoon phase of UD b/c I am having no problems at all eating the calories. I haven't been making very wise choices either though; fast food.
