I am so proud of myself!!!

Today is my stepmoms birthday and she is spending it with her family so we got together yesterday to wish her happy birthday and give her presents. Well, there about 15 of us and most of my family is very overweight. They all wanted to meet at Pizza Inn for the pizza buffet!!! Its a DD of course!!!
I was so good!! I cannot believe it. I had just salad, brought my own dressing. Just had a big place of lettuce with some broccoli, tomato, cucumber and a few pickled okras and i brought my maple grove farms sugar free raspberry vinaigrette.
When i first started JUDDD there were certain things i said i wanted to eat now that i was eating carbs, pizza was one of them. Well, i have been doing JUDDD really well now since January and havent had pizza once...lol
Its like now that i can eat that i dont want it. The pizza didnt even bother me yesterday. I really was very surprised. Its like my body knows its a DD so it doesnt give me issues. They had a huge birthday cake and i had 1 very small taste of my sons and didnt have a desire to have any at all. I took a piece to have today and i dont even know if i will eat it.
I still get amazed at how this works. Even though i dont know what is going on with my body right now. I have gained 5 lbs and dont know why but JUDDD is still working great. I havent changed anything so I dont know. Im having major BM problems and thinking thats a factor and i cant fix it no matter what i do but i still just love JUDDD and my body loves JUDDD.

I got up this morning and 6am. I havent eaten anything yet. I have that cake sittign in the fridge, lots of things but just havent had the desire. When i first started JUDDD this never happened. I was eating as soon as i got most UD's or shortly after my tummy was growling especially if i worked out on an empty tummy. I got up and lifted weights then went on a 2 mile job outside and i feel great. Even though you dont want to knwo what my scale is telling me!!!

But i still love JUDDD and there is no way im stopping this woe!!!

Congrats Shelly! What amazing achievements. I love the peace of mind that we get from JUDDD, and I agree with you about my body knowing when it's a DD or UD. My body doesn't seem to like eating much on a DD now. If I do, I feel kinda...icky.

Well done on doing your own thing at the pizza place too - family pressure can be so difficult. Have a beautiful day!

Shelly, you're really rocking this thang! I remember when you were so discouraged at first and now you're really in the groove. The weight thing can be upsetting, but you know if you hang in there, it'll behave again. I know I can go up and down, and it doesn't necessarily always correspond to what, or how much, I've eaten. Things ebb and flow. The potty issues probably are the biggest factor. Hang in there!

I love your post Shelly!
I'm concerned about the BM situation-- do you drink a LOT of water? Like, a LOT? How's the fiber situation? Sometimes too much without enough water can bind you up. Are you on meds that could cause that? (like some pain killers do, not sure what else).

Some natural remedies, like having more fiber, prunes or other dried/stewed fruit (tasty actually, on an up day), and even increasing your magnesium supplement (gently-- this stuff can go right through you), can all help.

I think that is probably a main contributor-- and also, can make you feel REALLY ICKY and like not eating, etc.

Please don't let the BM thing go on too long-- you build up toxins in your body and it can be really bad for you (without being graphic here, LOL )

I join everyone in congratulating you on combing a family celebration with DD!

I also worry about your elimination problems. That can certainly explain the weight gain. Are you taking any seasonal drugs (good old allergy med) or has anything changed? If this does not clear up soon, please see a doctor.

You have every reason to be pleased with yourself!

Regarding the potty problems... are you getting enough fat on your UDs? If I'm not getting enough fat I'll run into the same trouble, maybe you need a little more? Have you tried eating a prune or two on an UD? Just a couple fixes me right up!

Shelly, I too am impressed with your committment to this WOE. As long as I have been reading in this forum you have stuck to it through difficult times and I really commend you for that. Thanks everyone. I am getting a little concerned about the potty issues. I drink a ton of water. I get fiber from flax seeds, psyllium, gluc, oat fiber, chia seeds, I get fiber, maybe too much? I have natural calm magnesium I have been taking. I even got some mirilax and stool softeners. I have prune juice, prunes, acv, aloe vera juice. I have done so much the past week especially yo get things going. It works a little but doesn't seem like enough and my tummy feels bloated and hurts and I have more gas than anything. Its really frustrating. I may have to break down and go yo the doctor. My tummy makes tons of noises and sounds horrible. It just doesn't make sense and I know my weight has gone up because of this. I just hats going yo the doctor.
Thanks you guys though. The piazza thing really wasn't that hard. I have lowcarbed for 7 years and piazza was one of the things that was so hard to resist. When I started juddd I said I wanted piazza but now that I can have it I just don't care about it. Its strange. I would much rather have a wonderful panini or sub on great bread or lazagna with garlic bread. I don't know it just wasn't appealing. I'm glad though!

I took your advise and got the liquid magnesium. I just drank a whole bottle and am staying home from work today. I really hope it works. Im in pain and cant take it much longer. If this doesnt work im going to the doctor. Wish me luck!!!

I hope your magnesium works!

Have you tried upping fats if you haven't done so already? They could help to get things going...

Personally, I find that supplementing with extra fiber outside of what I get through my food intake just clogs me up.

Thanks mimosa, I really hope it works. My fat intake is pretty normal but when I was doing lowcarb and eating tons of fat it never really helped that issue. I have had tummy issues before but never this bad for this long. I was gonna go ahead and ho to work and the more I read online the more I thought I better not chance it. I hope it really works like people have said.

haha, yep! its the LAST resort but it is pretty much no fail. if it fails, you need to go to the emergency room, there might be a basketball in there LOL.

im just going to caution you and say tomorrow, when you eat, just make sure you have an optional place to go IN CASE there is a bit left, very very possible =)

Good, I was really worried about you

In addition to all the other advice, I have to say, please also check your fluid intake. All the fiber you were taking, without sufficient water (like, A LOT) can also bind you up.

Maybe now that it's, um, going, you can start fresh, feel better, and purge the accumulated toxins from your body. I bet you feel a lot better before a week is out!
