Organic Apple Cider Vinegar

What do you do with it?

I will probably use it to replace salad dressing, but what else can it be used for?

I drink it every day in water. I put about a tablespoon three times a day in water. Sometimes I use it in cabbage. I buy it by the gallon.

I use it when making my deviled eggs. Everyone says they're really good and I love the "kick" that vinegar gives it.

You can mix it with clay powder and it makes a very cleansing facial mask. I know it's not food, but still a very good "recipe".

I use it in marinades a lot when I cook because I like sour and tangy along with spicy. Sometimes I shake a dash of it to add some kick to whatever I'm eating, especially stir-fries.

I also drink it daily, but only 1 TBS in the morning with a tall glass of Crystal Light appletini. It works as an appetite suppressant for me and has given my complexion a nice healthy look.

I also use it on cucumber and tomato salad and in coleslaw.

I also make a gnat trap with it, ...take a jar or bottle, put a little ACV and a piece of banana in it, take a piece of paper and make a funnel, stick it in the jar but not touching the bottom, tape around the edge, put it near the kitchen sink. Gnats can get in, but not out.

Organic ACV is AMAZING! It cured my shingles in 5 days a couple of years ago. It also cleared up a eczema like patch of skin on my face last month. I now use it as a toner and my skin has a healthy glow. I've read many reviews that it also helps clear acne and actually diminishes acne scars. I use it as a hair rinse too. Makes my thick coarse hair soft and shiny! I also use it as a marinade. I mix it with a little olive oil and various spices. And last but not least, I drink it every day. I mix a couple table spoons in a LG glass of water with a slice of lemon. It's actually a very good thirst quencher and appetite suppressant. As you can see, this stuff is my "God" LOL! I love it!

Marinade meat in a bowl and me in a bath. Use it full strength to clean bug bites. Watered down it is a great wipe when certain private places get itchy. So far, when I drink it, it seems to act like an appetite stimulant for me. But I keep trying because I believe it will be good for my innards (will try diluting it in much more water and see if that helps).

Shelly, how much water to ACV do you mix for toner?

Muffabuff, where do you get clay powder, and what's the ratio to mix? Then just leave on until dry and rinse?

I tried 1T in 16 oz water with 2 drops sweetzfree yesterday and it wasn't too bad. I'm thinking it'll be great on my go-to DD lunch of cucumbers, tomatoes, and tuna or salmon.

Apple Cider Vin. is a PH balancer, which is why it's so good for skin and hair. And also why it's so effective in tenderizing meat. Very effective at eliminating dandruff....use it as a final rinse on hair and don't rinse it out. The smell evaporates after a few min. Dawn...you can get clays at lotioncrafters ....look for one for your skin type. I find french green clay too acidic and drying for my 40's skin....I like kaolin and rose clay and love love love rhassoul clay.

Dawn i mix half and half. It is smelly at first and will make your eyes water a little but its great for the skin. I found out about it on acne.org. I have always struggled with acne my whole life and i use the regime from the site and i use ACV as a toner. It is wonderful. I still get the occasional break out but they are much less now. I also use aspirin in my cleanser in the mornings...lol Aspirin makes a great exfoliant and it is a natural form of BHA so its great for the skin. I let 4 dissolve in my hand with a little water and then add my cleanser and then let it sit on my face while i shower. A good mask is honey, yogurt and aspirin.

I keep trying to drink the ACV but its just god awful to me!!! Even trying to mix it with a ton of water i can still taste it. I know it would be good if i could get some down especially with the BM issues i am having right now but i just cant do it.

Keep in old heinz organic ketchup bottles in shower, rinse hair, face after washing, armpits and groin: especially in warmer months keeps odor causing bacteria down.

I use straight vinegar in laundry in the fabric softener "hole" instead of chemicals to get rid of residue, straight on shirt armpit areas to cut body oils before laundering.

I've been trying to drink it for the longest time too, because I'm positive it'll be good for me, but for some reason even though I like it in my food and as a marinade, it's just so hard to drink, even diluted with a ton of water! Maybe I'll splash a bit in broth or something instead of water and see how that goes.

I sometimes use it in marinades for chicken.

On nights where I overdid the drinking, I would sip a tall glass of water with a spoon of ACV stirred in and I don't know, but it seemed to help me feel better overall. Maybe it was just that I was getting hydration from the water though.

I know it's supposed to be heathy to drink it everyday, but it kinda hurts my tummy. I bought the Crystal Lite Appletini since I liked the idea that Baby gave us about drinking it that way , but haven't mixed any up just yet. Looking forward to trying that though, with or without the ACV.

Does anyone know why drinking it would help with the complexion? I've heard before that drinking it daily helps that, but is there an explanation someone can point me to? Thanks.

I usually have Lite Rice Vinegar on my salads...I wonder if Apple Cidar Vinegar would be similar.

I love grape juice, but on low carb it was not allowed. So I found hawaiian punch grape smash. It is at walmart and other locations and has no sugar, so it became my favorite drink. One day, when I decided I was going to try to have a little vinegar every day, I put it in my hp, and it just intensifies the grape taste. Cant even taste the vinegar. The appletini sounds good too. I work on the phone and had a customer the other night who told me he was 84 years old. It was a real shock because he sounded a whole lot younger. He credited it to "jogging in a jug." This is an old recipe and included apple juice, grape juice and vinegar. That is why I decided to try the vinegar again.

Straight ACV gets rid of hiccups instantly. just drink the amount the lid holds and they are gone. I heard about this on the Doctors and tried it and it worked.

Baby, the Appletini is the perfect way to get ACV if you're going to take it!

I mixed up the Appletini and poured a capful (about 1 t.) of the ACV into a glass. Poured in some Appletini and tasted... it makes the drink have the perfect tartness and sweetness that you can adjust. Just add more of the drink mix if you want it less tart. I like it a little on the tart side, so I didn't add so much Appletini to the glass. It's like a sweet/tart apple Jolly Rancher candy.

Thanks for the idea, Baby. I've never found a good carrier for ACV before now.

Yes, if you don't dilute the ACV (one part vinegar to 10 parts water) and then rinse your mouth out afterward. Rinse! Don't brush your teeth until after you have first rinsed (because otherwise you can push the acid into your enamel).

I make an amazing raw soup with it- 200 calories per serving (makes 6)

4 organic cucumbers with skin
1/2 cup soaked cashews
1 TBS coconut oil
3-5 TBS apple cider vinegar
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp coriander
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp paprika
1 clove garlic

Blend everything in a Vitamix until creamy and let sit overnight- the flavors really develop and it's so filling!

xx

I've been drinking it 1T to 16 oz of water, so the 10:1 is fine, but haven't been rinsing afterward. Do you think the dilution is enough for this to be okay? (I drink it in my water at work and can't exactly get up and rinse each time.)

I was putting it in my water and sipping it all day and my teeth started getting really sensitive. Now I pot some pure lemon in a cup, probably quarter of a cup, add 1 T acv, a packet of stevia and hot water, then down it. The hot water and the lemon make it taste a little better. On UDs I add 1t raw honey. Then I rinse with water after. I also pour 1T on my DD salad I take to work and I cant taste it much. Its good on the salad. Its not strong. Its a light taste and I sometimes add a little lemon.

I'm not sure--I'm just repeating what a lot of dentist websites say. Can you drink another glass of plain water after the ACV water? That would rinse out your mouth without the fuss of finding a private sink.
