UD and I can't stop eating!
This week has been really tough for some unknown reason. I'm not looking forward to stepping on the scales at the end of the week. I just can't stop eating - I'm craving sweet stuff especially.
I'm really hoping this is just a small blip. |

Those days/weeks happen. Especially at first. I had a few that seemed to be triggered by remnants of trigger foods...like sweets. Everything would be fine for a week or two. Then *zap* cravings would pop back up.
I tried to identify trigger foods then stepped away from them for another week or two. Even this shall pass. ![]() |

You'll be fine Bev, it is all the Easter stuff everywhere. Don't worry if the scale bounces, keep on keeping on and it will go. x

Thanks so much for the encouragement. I'm sure I'll get back to normal after a good DD and after Easter!

Maybe it's hormones, I know if it's anywhere near TOM I could eat a horse. Hang in there and you will be back in control in no time.

I still struggle with sweets. Doing better as some days I can completely handle having a little bit and stop. Yet other days, just one bite sends looking for more. Not pretty. LOL I was usually hungrier during TOM too.....but judging by the last few months I think that's about over for me.

Same with me, I went out of town, and ended up having 2-3 UDs in a row, good grief!!!
So I had to have a good talk with myself, roped myself on back down, and am having a wonderful DD today!!! And with those UDs, I just couldn't believe the scale, but it was true, I didn't gain a pound!! I love how everyone says that JUDDD is such a forgiving WOE, and it truly is!! ![]() Last edited by InTheLight; 04-06-2012 at 02:40 PM.. |

Wowsers Valerie! You and JUDDD are BFF.
Bev, unless it is hormones (and you will soon get used to preparing for and handling that) you should have absolutely no appetite tomorrow. Please let us know how you do! |

Something that helps me on days like that is, A cup of sweet coffee. I add a little milk and a sweet and low and sprinkle with a dash of cinnamon. Its kinda like a dessert. For me anyways, I usually drink my coffee black.

Quick update. As expected the scales showed no loss at the end of my "binge" week. Then we had Easter - lots of chocolate - seriously, I just went for it and helped EVERYONE out with their Easter eggs! Carried on as usual during the week, but still only FDs no calorie counting at all, plus I've been doing a lot of baking as I'm trying to cut sugar out of DS's diet - but all good DDs. So I weighed myself this morning thinking - it's OK, I'll be happy just so long as I haven't gained. Well would you believe it I lost 3.2lb!

The more I stay away from sugar, the less I crave it, but it can be hard to break the cycle at first. I used to not be able to eat just a small amount of sweets. A handful of jelly beans would easily turn into eating the whole bag. I gave up sugar entirely before I started JUDDD and what helped me get through the cravings was to eat meals with enough protein, fat, and vegetables to satisfy my appetite. Now I allow myself the occasional sugary treat, but only on UD's after a meal.
