bagel & lc cheese (285)

Dinner - homemade pizza......how much do you think I can have for 1350 calories? LOL

Thanks, guys. Katie, I suspected my GB for a while, but I've had it scanned twice with A-OK results. Still, sometimes I wonder...

And then the acid, I really do believe is a problem. I have to watch having too much acidic food or drink, especially on an otherwise empty or near-empty stomach.

Whatever dinner's going to be needs to come in around 700 calories. It's payday and DH is home so we're probably going out. I may not have wine tonight.

eep - unpleasant surprise.
I got a large iced coffee w/sugar free vanilla at mcdonalds, thinking it would be 20-30 cals at most for the creamer. 120 cals! Really? grrr.
I'll stick to places that can add 2T half and half instead so I know what I'm getting.

Good Heavens! How much creamer do you suppose they put in that?

I've thought of buying a box of those little individual creams at Sam's Club, like the kind you get in restaurants, and taking some with me when I head out.

I don't know but it's called "light cream" and sounds like 1/2 and 1/2 so I'm not sure. Maybe they're adding calories from the sugar alcohols in the s/f syrup or something.

Up day. Dh and I are both off work, so a nice day.

B: 2 milky teas
S: little bit of Easter candy: 1 marshmallow egg, 3 little chocolates.
L: Indian buffet - lamb, rice, 3 fried things filled with potatoes & peas. Eggplant. Naan. some other things, garbanzo beans.
S: another marshmallow egg! (110 cals each)
D: not hungry.

Dh and I have plans to walk to a neighborhood hangout and have a cocktail. May grab a bite or two there.

Yes, had the spaghetti (no cheese on top) and toasted some French bread, then drizzled it with evoo and Italian seasoning.

Ate a bunch of baby carrots.

After that, started drinking Sauvignon Blanc (out of red wine) and just had some pistacchio nuts.

You know I was thinking, You take Metiform right? Metiform can cause acid reflux. Maybe you should ask your doc about taking a pepcid type pill along with it. My doc gave me a script for nexxium. But I found acid reflux pills at walmart, 60 for $4!!! I ask my doc and he said that was fine, it was pretty much same thing, and it beat paying $15 a month co-pay for 30 days worth of pills. Since you might not need them daily, you could really stretch those 60 pills. I have to take daily for mine.

Edit to add: I dont take metiform, but I do know alot about it. It was one of the pills alot of residents took at the nursing homes I have worked at. Always check with your doc before doing anything thought! My reflux is due to my issue with Estrogen Domaince. That is another one of those lovely side effects. I have had heartburn every day for 15 years!! For real and quite sad!!!

Thanks, Katie, this is a good idea. I've thought about getting some of those acid reflux pills OTC for a while, but I wasn't sure which ones, and now I know thanks to your post! I will pick some up after I do more research on the drug, so don't worry - if my stomach starts rolling and a little alien pops out and dances a jig, I won't hold you responsible.

Good to know lol!!!

I use the equate Ranitdine tabs, they are 150 mg. I dont like the fatidone (sp?) ones. They dont seem to work for me. But thats prob cause they are a smaller mg strength.

I know they tell you not to take them daily. But my doc told me, for me its fine. If I start having an issue call him ASAP. But its been many years and I am still good (knock on wood!!!). I do try to give myself a break from them from time to time. I can handle it for so long then cant stand it anymore!

When I have the extra money, I get those ones that work now and later. The name slips me now. But you chew one tab and it works immedently and keeps working for 12 hours!!

UD here-- I'll just say that it went according to plan (per *********), and I had the big dinner at the family's house tonight, and I'm right in at 2193 or so-- I'm sure I'm off in some eyeball measurements, but I think I'm right around my 2267 limit for UD calories.

I'm stuffed!

Planning for tomorrow's DD #4. Should be interesting-- I'm going out and about with one friend for a few hours, then another. I figure I'll grab a salad, and if not, I'll take a shake with me for just-in-case.

Mom has fixins for a big salad, and is making salmon, so I think I'm all set. Not a clue what to eat on UD Sunday...

Anyway-- good day here, lots of 1x a year treats, check those off my list and move on.
