Just wanted to jump in here and say Hello
![]() I lost a significant amount of weight last year fairly easy without really trying (stress diet) and I actually for the first time in my adult life was in the weight range for my height, albeit the high end. I felt great but I really did not know how to maintain my loss. Over the winter I have managed to gain 10 pounds back on a 5 foot frame 10 pounds looks like 30.So.... I am back and giving JUDDD an 100% go. I am hoping to see the scale start moving in the downward direction again. I ran my numbers yesterday using exercising 1-3 days a week. I workout 5 days a week, sometimes 6, which gave me 1875 UD - 500 DD. I am really looking forward to getting to know everyone and making this WOE work!! Pamela |

Lots of new faces here, so good to see the successes too.
Pamela, just in case you are interested. A lot of exercisers here don't count the exercise at all. We work on the theory that after all that work to burn off calories, why would you want to eat them back? If you see good losses then that is fine, but for faster weight loss you may want to use fewer UD calories. Twink, another UK JUDDDer, wonderful to see our numbers rising. Come and post in the UK/Europe/Australia thread. We'd love to see you.

Hi Pamela!
![]() I've lost count of my DDs, so that's a good thing. Today is one, and going well. I went into the office (I usually work from home) and had a big green tea, then had some green beans for lunch, just munched on them while my friend had his lunch. So I didn't have my protein shake, and now I can have some more chicken and some tomatoes in my dinner salad. Hope everyone is doing well! Soren |

I have been debating on whether I should use them or not. ![]() For now I "think" I have decided to use the 1-3 times per week exercise number. I usually get in 1 to 2 hours 5 to 6 times per week, but if I don't see good amount of weight loss I will take it down. Here's hoping to a good week!! Pamela |

I have been on JUDDD for 2 weeks now (completed my 7th DD yesterday) and I have lost 6.2 pounds
![]() I have never lost this much in 2 weeks and it was so easy compared to Weight Watchers. It will probably bounce a little after today but that is OK - the trend is down! I am so excited! Last edited by Showcats; 04-17-2012 at 07:58 AM.. Reason: trying to fix jumpy! |

Kissa it does seem too good to be true. I am finding the DD to be fairly easy and don't feel deprived because I know the next day is an UD. I wish I would have found JUDDD many years ago!

Well on my second UP... two DD under the ole belt. They were HARD, but today.... very very wierd. I had oatmeal and a spicy V8---cream in my coffee.....total around 220 calories and I am miserably stuffed. I mean miserable right now.
This is crazy stuff. Seems like DD lasta forever and UP fly by and all you are thinking about on an UP is what the heck can I have tomorrow for my DD. I hope I lose the food focus soon. |

It is a bit of a puzzlement at first Terilynn. However tough a DD is I hold the thought of the UD and know I can get through it.
Try to relax and let it happen. |

Ha! I did an EGG Correction Day yesterday on HCG and all I could think about was the fact that I could eat lots of LC food the next day!

Hi Everyone!
First of all, huge thanks to the longterm posters here - I've been reading all day long (should have been working, but we'll keep that between ourselves). It has made my very first DD go well! It's not so bad! I'm completely stunned! I've a few questions - do you think it's OK to start another thread? |

Of course Casmira, but the advantage of repeating them here is that all the Newbies get to see the answers...
Glad your day is going well. Hi Monica, enjoy the UD, you will probably be pleasantly surprised with your DD. Last edited by Kissa; 04-17-2012 at 11:12 AM.. |

Yeah, I could put them here too? I just don't know whether everyone would be reading this thread?
So here goes: 1. There's a long thread devoted to the non-scale victories, and I'm a little bit obsessed with that. I think I was hoping to see more victories associated with losing cellulite, not having loose skin and not looking gaunt - is this possible or am I asking too much? 2. I see some people have tried to combine JUDDD with WW points. How did that go? It's what I'm hoping to do myself, but I haven't seen a thread where anyone says what actually happened when they did it! |

I can't answer Casmira, so I'll let Cindy or another mentor answer.
I can say-- I've been experimenting a bit with carbs, and I'm so glad I had the advice here-- after my DD yesterday, I haven't lost on the scale. BUT, I'm not freaking out, b/c I had a lovely UD on Sunday with a whole grain bagel as part of my brunch at a friend's house, and some fruit... so I know it's probably water weight, and I will just avoid the scale till after another DD or even 2. Here's my non-scale victories: learning the difference between mental and real hunger getting a grip on how much I really eat and/or need to eat SUPER CLEAN TEETH b/c when I want to eat just before bed, I floss and brush for the full 2.5 minutes

No Cellulite, lucky me! Some wrinkly skin as described above, and at almost 65 I think that is there forever. Am I gaunt, please see photo? I don't think so but if I lost any more I might be.
No one thinks I look my age, but I don't think it can just be JUDDD, as I only started that in October. I had a facelift in 2002. Can't answer on WW although I think some do combine. Some who have switched from WW report much faster losses here. YMMV |

Thanks, ladies!
I lost weight about two years ago, and I did get a certain amount of lovely feedback about being gaunt (and "losing your lovely face - what use is that?" Aw, you say the sweetest things, Mum!!!) I regained a bit of weight and my face is normal now, but I'd love to think that I could lose without looking like a ghoul. I've never been as thin as I'd like to have been, and I would hate to feel that that time in my life is gone forever. Your photo is helping there, Kissa, you look tremendous. Because WW has worked in the past for me, I feel frightened to let it go so quickly, and I value the meetings and weigh-ins as well. I'm just scared of letting the discipline go, basically, and I know it's a good way to monitor myself so even if it ends up being the case that I ease into this with points as a safety raft, I guess it's OK. |

How are you doing that with the calories allowed on HCG? Just curious. I lost a lot on HCG, but they did not stay off. Some can keep them off long term, I was not one who could. |

Yeah, I see what you're saying. My basic plan was to use 20% of my points on DDs and then all my points on UDs, supplemented by fruits and vegetables to make up the calorie difference.
I will continue with my long established pattern of completely ignoring all healthy eating guidelines!!! How are you getting along? |

Thanks on the facelift. I was delighted, but I threatened him with eternal damnation if I came round looking as if I had lived my life in a wind tunnel.

I'm on week 2 of JUDDD. First week I maintained. Bounced up after UDs and bounced down after DDs. I had UDs over the weekend and another bounce up. DD on Monday bounced down again. Today was a UD.
I haven't hit the 'magic' but as a former hcger, I'm a happy camer. I can eat what I like and bounce down after a DD. I would like to start losing, but I'm being patient as my bod figures out the correct DD and UD cals for that. |
