today is my 6th DD and I already have a NSV ![]() Last night my DH and I went to a fundraiser and silent auction to benefit the Humane Society. I have only lost a few pounds but pants I couldn't fit into a month ago fit! I hadn't measured my waist since I started JUDDD because I didn't think I had lost inches yet but I guess I must have. I also didn't feel guilty when I bid on (and won) a "Sweet Tooth" package that included chocolate and a dozen gourmet cupcakes! Now I need to figure out how to freeze them so I can have one on an UD. Before when I was on Weight Watchers I never would have considered bidding on something that I couldn't eat because it would have taken all of my daily points.

wtg Tammy on the pants, and really getting into this WOE!
I'm trying my first MD (medium day), shooting for about 1200-1300 calories. So far, so good Soren |

well today is first DD --- DH is actually trying this with me.....
We are going to be drinking a lot of coffee and tea today....... I see that most people eat 500 calories on down day....right? Both he and I had lower numbers using the JUDDD calculator. I don't think there is anyway right off the bat I can go with 376 calories, but maybe eventually. I hope this becomes as easy as you all say. He is lucky -- his up day is about 500 more calories a day than me. |

Today is a serious waste of an up day. I got a deal on express teeth whitening so I'm on a 'white diet' for the next 24 hours minimum. Wasting all those lovely calories on rice krispies. I'm also a filthy smoker (don't judge me!) and can't have any of those either. I'm going to be so cranky.

My DD calories are similar to yours but my first 5 DD I had between 500-600. It would have been much harder with 363 calories. A lot of people have been successful with 500 cal DD. Good luck with JUDDD. Everyone here is very supportive so if you have any questions the veterans will always help. |

Great news on the pants and the prize Tammy. Enjoy
Hope the first DD isn't too tough Terrilynn, if you can do 500 to begin with you will be doing fine. Yes, men! They always seem to get it easy. Stitch I am trying hard not to laugh. Sorry about your UD. But at least you will have a glistening smile. |

I think you'll be surprised at how manageable this is. I just started on the first of the month. I thought it would be difficult on DDs, and actually have found it's been harder to get near to my UD numbers. Have a plan, have some low calorie foods around to eat and just do it -- tomorrow you can eat!

Yep, I feel that way. I'm allowed 2200 or so now, but I see 1800 coming... so for now, I eat and when I'm full, I don't. I average around 2000... I did my first MD (medium day) today, around 1350, and it wasn't hard at all. I think I like high/low better, but medium is totally doable. Looking forward to a "normal" UD tomorrow-- going to a brunch, and haven't a clue what's on the menu beyond what I'm bringing (LC lemon squares from this site). My plan is to enjoy the egg/cheese/protein I'm assuming I'll find, and not fill up on bread-y things. Not because I "can't" but b/c they don't make me feel that good.

Today's my 4th DD and I can't believe I haven't ate anything all day! I was planning on a small lunch and dinner but as lunch time rolled around I wasn't all that hungry. Now its 7pm and although I can tell my stomach is grumbling a bit, I'm thinking what the heck, bed times not that far away so just push through it. Ironic because the last 2 DD's were kinda rough and I had been considering raising my cals to 500. Maybe it's the guilt I feel for going over on my UD yesterday by 500 calories.
Either way, I'd be super proud of myself for fasting for the whole day even though I don't have to |

I'm excited to say that I've just finished my 1st week on Juddd and lost 6 lbs!! Losing 6 lbs is actually pretty normal for me because we'd been having a splurge day once a week so I would gain 6 pounds from that day and spend the week losing it. This has been my cycle for the past 2 months. The positive about losing it "this" week is that its a new diet and I'm not doing the splurge day so this next week I'm hoping to see some new lower numbers I havent seen in a long time
Things I've noticed while doing Juddd this week are that I have more energy and seem to be happier. I was doing low carb before and I felt sooo lethargic all the time. I even went on a couple of walks this week which I haven't done in about a year and it felt really great. I'm really ing this WOE. Quote:

Hello! I tried JUDDD a few years ago and really liked it so I'm back! My husband and I just started trying to conceive and while I'd like to lose more weight first I am going to be dieting and hope it happens!
Do you all go by the JUDDD website for your calorie recommendation or just do 500 on your DD no matter what? The site recommends 650 for me but I think I am going to do 600 for the first few weeks and see how it goes |

Phew! My second week on JUDDD was really, really tough. My UD's and DD's were just kind of miserable. Today is a DD but I'm finally back to feeling OK. It's almost 7pm, haven't eaten yet and I'm not really hungry at all thankfully. My weight is still stuck up higher than it was at the end of my first week. I was 128.4 about 9 days ago but since then it's jumped up and bounced around between 129.5 and 131.5. Its getting veeeery annoying but hopefully I'll see a drop soon. At least I'm feeling better.

My first DD was soooo hard. I had all these doubts and fears that I wasn't going to be able to do this WOE. Although my weight has bounced back up like you all said it would, I'm hopeful that it will go back down -- like you all say it will. I'm so glad I feel this good because I really doubted it after my first DD.![]() |

Today is my second DD.... I am so miserably full from yesterday still that I don't think today is going to be hard at all.... Now it is only 6:45am, so who knows what the day has in store for me. I stayed within my calories yesterday, but I sure ate a lot of food. I ate some too late too. I don't like to eat after 6pm and I had 2nds on dinner at around 9 just to get my calories in.
DH is doing awesome too. He is so laid back and easy going regarding food.... he doesn't want to know anything about anything....just give him the food he can eat.

Good morning everyone,
I have finished my second week on JUDD and I have lost a total of 5.2 pounds. I am happy with those results. Today is my DD again so I will happily keep it under 500 while I am getting these results. I love my UD though and so does my hubby! to all the newbies! Good luck with JUDDD! ![]() |

Third DD over here yesterday (after two medium days). Did pretty good. Did not cave ...Had about 500 calories. That's my threshold. Anything lower, the headache and weird feeling starts. Maybe later I can go lower, but not right now--its only my second week
Definitely has loosed some weight as the jeans slipped on with no struggle at all yesterday. I'm battery challenged *scales* so I'm not weighing until the end of the month. That gives me a three week window to make that JUDD magic work ![]() |
