I actually wound up at 483 cals (15.5g net) today... some of my DDs are like 7g net.
I'm planning LC pizza for dinner tomorrow. I'm off work till Friday (woo, 1 day week!) and so I can do a bit more cooking of elaborate things on my UDs. Gotta do some planning to see what I want to use for the crust and put on top... And I need to plan for the upcoming DDs... I need some more HB eggs, grilled chicken, and I already have lettuce for salads. Tomorrow is my first weigh day since after my 1st DD... wish me luck! S. |

Good morning everyone and WELCOME to everyone I haven't greeted here because I've been away for 4 days...
Wow, so many people joining us, what a great place! I'm wishing everyone all the successes they need to get to their goals! I just spent 4 days away for Easter holiday and I managed to lose another bit of weight in between chocolate, great seafood and lots more! WOW! I love this WOE! I started at the end of March, and I've already lost more than 6lbs! Noticing inchloss as well, will have to start measuring properly... (see my stats for up to date lbs lost since JUDDD start) Today is an UD and I've got no idea yet what my food plans are, except for making tricolore stuffed yellow bell peppers... (I fill them with baby mozarella balls, basil, garlic and cherry tomatoes, all marinated in olive oil and balsamic vinegar, and then I put them in the oven until soft and ready... YUM) Got to figure out whether to eat steamed salmon fillets with them or maybe a nice steak.... Dilemmas! LOL! Wishing everyone a great day today, xxx

Thanks Yam and NoWeigh
![]() check out the new sig <-------------- as Mimosa says-- today is an UD for me too, and while I have a vague idea about dinner (LC pizza), I'm not sure what to do right now for breakfast or lunch? I'll just bask in the "new low glow" ![]() |

I'm doing OK today. I was getting a bit annoyed with my scale because I bounced up, even though I should have been prepared for that. It finally went back down to where it was last Friday today. It's an up day and normally I have no problem sticking to my calories on UD's but I'm feeling very munchy today! It's 6pm here and I have 200 cals for the rest of day. Normally I would have a lot more left by now because I usually do most of my eating in the evening. I will stay under my cal limit but it isn't going to be fun and I'm not sure I'll feel too happy/satisfied going into my DD tomorrow.

Val, I know the freedom on the UD are so worth the DD. I went out for lunch and had a delicious bowl of vegetable barley soup that was just delicious and one of my favorites a grilled cheese sandwich with it. It was so appreciated. I loved it.

Janice - That's funny! I am on HCG and there are phases. When I was always on Phase 2 DH calls it "the diet" instead of HCG! I just laugh...So when I start JUDDD I'm wondering if he will say the same thing...Is today your eating day?!?! LOL
I'm enjoying reading everyones success and hopefully I can post in the May Newbies thread! |

Today was my 4th down day and by far the easiest. I have had 290 calories so far. Unfortunately this weekend didn't turn out as planned as Sunday ended up an UD instead of a DD. I had to go out of town unexpectedly as my mother is in the hospital. Since I get off schedule, tomorrow will be my weigh in for my first week.

Sorry to hear about your mother, Tammy.
![]() but good job staying on the plan, and just rolling with it, converting the DD to an UD-- it happens (is what everyone is telling me, so I'll tell you too )I'm looking at a bunch of weird days coming up-- the 15th, the 22nd, the 27, and another couple days in May. I'm going to do MD and maybe 2 UDs in a row, and get back to DD the next day. Fingers crossed for your post-DD weigh in! S. |

Today was first DD. Went OK. Took some aspirin early in day and scared off headache. Had a little over 400 calories. Even made a dozen banana muffins and put them away for tomorrow. Not a lot of thought about tomorrow's eating. One day at a time

Today I'm down 4lbs after a DD. The 'bounce' is real! I'm not back to where I was before the weekend, but I'm hoping that I did a good job with my UD today and I plan another very low DD tomorrow.

Well done Mamasooze and aarosali!
![]() I'm short about 300-500 cal for my UD, but I didn't want to force myself to eat, so, it will have to do. I just made HB eggs for my DD, and I bought some greenbeans on clearance, so I'll parboil those tomorrow, and snack on them cold. Something like 25cal per cup? I also got chicken breasts at a decent price so I'll broil or grill some of those to have for a couple days of DD, and DH can have them too. |

Slept 8 hours last night for first time in weeks. Yesterday was first DD so.....coincidence? Who knows. Did not wake up hungry. Lingered a while this morning. Had coffee with cream, banana muffin (paleo made with almond flour), bacon, 2 eggs and my first serving of grits since I don't know when
Having a rather quiet day and should be cleaning house but need some exercise so will do a walk and some gonzo gardening. Looking to lunch: a protein shake with green stuff and blueberries. Dinner should be chicken breast with poblano cream, and a big salad. Look forward to a tiny 'tini. This should all put me near 1880 calories And less than 60 carbs. I have to stay away from bread, white rice, most grains, pasta, sugar and potatoes. All give me raging heartburn so can't eat them even if I wanted to. The cravings for any of those has llooonnnggg passed anyway ![]() |

Mamasooze, I also have slept so well since I started doing JUDDD - something about the UD/DD combination that calms and eases the body and system. Before, I would toss and turn, but now, I position my pillow, get comfy, and I'm out for the night, sleeping like a winner!!!
![]() Jan, I am so happy you were able to enjoy that delicious soup and grilled cheese sandwich, yipper!!! And with the JUDDD plan, if you wanted another sandwich later, if it was in your calorie count, you could have done so!!!! You know, that is sounding pretty good; I may have to incorporate one into a future UD!!! By the way, did you find the what are you eating today thread yet? (A new thread is posted every morning for that day.) I so love JUDDD; DD and SIL told me yesterday that my stomach looks flat now, and that was my UD!!! ![]()

Well done Mamasooze!
![]() I'm on DD #6 I believe... just about to have some food, went out and got my pedicure done and had a big water with me. I'm still off work for a couple days, and still don't know how to spend my time ![]() B: x L: 2 hb eggs, 1T 1/2fat mayo I got my super awesome tea in the mail while I was out, so I might have a couple cups of that in the afternoon-- hope my fancy tea kettle comes today so I can have some fun with the new toys! D: 5oz chicken breast (grilled or broiled, spices, maybe some soy sauce sprayed on it), and 4c romaine, fat-free/sugar free 0 cal dressing S: 1c chocolate almond milk. Assuming I stay on plan, should be 491 cal and 6.5 net g carbs. Have a great day folks!S. |

OK - newbie here! I tried this for a very brief stent a long while ago, but had some major life stressors and threw all caution to the wind as far as my eating goes. Long story. Anyway ... I haven't been having much luck at all with Atkins - I just think my body doesn't like it. I lost 3.5 my first week, then just bounced the same pound up and down for the next 3. I've never been very successful with it but kept trying different stents with it b/c I think the food is so luxurious. But this time was the worst experience yet. It just sucks limiting yourself to only a few foods every day, and then not seeing results.
Anyway, I've been doing some reading here the past week <lurker> and decided that I really believe I could succeed at this WOE. I just have to get past the scale shock of that "bouncy ball". SO my solution - weigh once a week. Curse the scale the rest of the week ![]() So the official JUDDD start weight is 210, fresh out of the bed. I started today with a DD - so far, so good. Been chugging a lot of water, so that helps me feel "full". I just love reading around this forum - everyone is so positive and happy! And most importantly, helpful. I can't wait to get to know everyone here, and hopefully really see some results.

TraciLew, glad you have decided to jump in the JUDDD 'pond'.It is up to you how you deal with the scale bounce but once a week weighers can have a nasty shock if that happens to be an upward bounce day.... Be warned. All you Newbies can get acquainted here Newbies April post here |

^ that is awesome!! Maybe I will watch the ball bounce, I just don't want it to mess with me. Does anyone else struggle with the scale?? I just find I get so mad and it stresses me out sometimes if it doesn't show me what I want.
