Is this normal? heartburn on DDs

Hi,
I noticed this the other day, and again today-- I'm getting heartburn on my DDs.

I don't get heartburn when I eat straight LC (but I will get it if I go off LC, like on 2 week vacation or something).
I"m staying LC on the DD, with less fat and more veggies so I make the 500cal limit.

is it the veggies? I can deal, I'm not going to stop-- I just need to figure out the cause.

Help?
Soren

I was getting heartburn a bit before I started JUDDDing, but it went away afterwards. I am one who quickly included carbs of all types, so I am no help to you at all.

It never happened to me, and I never heard it mentioned until very recently. So my only guess would be that an individual's stomach is used to larger quantities of food/calories on all days, and is geared to pour out a certain amount of digestive acids for that expected food, and when it doesn't arrive, you have more acid than you need.

I can only guess that this situation will resolve itself as your body gets used to the JUDDD rotation cycle.

If it's not one thing it's another: We start low carb and have to endure induction flu. On JUDDD there have been a couple who have had heartburn.

I found a pattern to mine according to what I eat/drink. Acidic things are what do it. But now I'm much, much better and only occasionally have to reach for the Pepto-Bismol ... but who knows if it will come and go in some kind of cycle.

What set mine off were: plain black coffee or tea, lemon juice, grapefruit and other citrus, wine, vinegars, etc. taken on an empty stomach OR in the morning (not the wine, hehe) OR before bed.

Was a time, on LC, that I couldn't reach for pepto-bismol cos it was full of sugar, lol.
