Awesome!! Congrats to Becky and all the losers in this thread (said with great affection )!!!

I had a great first week as well. Down 3 lbs AND this was on a very modified JUDDD of 800/1900 rotations. What's fascinating is that my average calories per day was slightly MORE than what my Lose It app recommends, yet in the weeks past where I adhered to the daily limit of 1390 ish or so I was losing only around a pound a week.

YAY!

This is great news, Joyce!!! I've been dying to see an update from you since you raised your calories, and was keeping both fingers crossed it would be this kind of joyous report! Yes, it sounds but for some people they need to raise calories to a level their body is comfortable with in order for it to give up pounds. I know you'll keep up the good work, and keep enjoying those higher DDs (yayyy!)!

Thank you so much, Sophiethecat! I really appreciate that. I'll definitely post a new thread after I've been at it a bit longer. I'm having such a better feeling about it all this time around. I'm sure eventually I won't even need as many DD calories, but just knowing they are there makes all the difference. I even survived a DD at the mall food court. LOL I also increased my carbs a good deal this week too, and my weight loss doubled or tripled over previous weeks.

I love JUDDD and all of the enthusiastic and helpful buddds!
