Sick on an UD

Yesterday was my UD, but I was sick and hardly ate. So today is a DD and I don't mind since I have no desire to eat, but I'm afraid I may be going too long on too few calories.
Friday was an UD and I made it close to my target of 1920.
Sat. was a DD and kept it under 400.
Sun. UD but ate less than 700.
Today, Monday about 10am- I've had 45 calories. I'm not hungry, but am dizzy.
What do people do when they are sick on JUDDD?

Thanks, Carly

:console: I am sorry your don't feel well. I don't know for certain but I would try to make this a MD. Try to get at least 1200 if at all possible.:hugs: My thought is that you have already had 2 DDs and if you add one more then you are at 3.

:dunno:

Thanks. I will try to bump it up a little if I'm up to it.

I wouldn't worry about the calories right now at all. Mother Nature has got this figured out so that it works pretty smoothly.. without eating much for a few days during illness, our metabolism will slow down a bit (as it does on every DD anyway), but you don't have to worry about plunging into *starvation mode* from this.. once you feel better and are eating again, you will be just fine, and so will your metabolism. JUDDD will have it functioning back to your normal level almost immediately.

Our metabolisms fluctuate up and down with our days and our calorie intake, and I think how we alternate between the fasting/feasting calories has a lot to do with getting our metabolisms to rev up and work better.

Sorry you are ill. Hope you are feeling a lot better very shortly.

Thanks- in the last hour I've started to feel a bit better.
I has a little coffee and chicken broth.

Hope you feel better soon! :hugs: Don't worry too much about your calories...eat what you can and what sounds good. :)

If you do start to get your appetite back, maybe you could try for a bigger dinner, rather than eating several times today. Even if it's a protein shake or some ice cream....something of several hundred calories that sends a really strong signal to your body that, Hey! The fast is over!

Adding a little cream to chicken broth is very yummy... :)

Hope you feel better soon!

I was just wondering about this. Today is an UP day, and by early afternoon I started feeling signs of a cold or the flu. It's a little frustrating because I was looking forward to having a yummy dinner, but now I don't feel like it. The nice thing about JUDDD though is that I will have lots of great meals to look forward to.

Carly, I hope you are feeling better soon.

Thanks for all the well wishes. I'm not feeling 100%, but a great deal better.
I kept with my rotation, but have not had enough on UDs since feeling sick. Today is an UD so I'll have breakfast before work.
Thanks again- Carly
