My favorite Mexican place had a new dish on their menu. It was chicken breast strips (NOT breaded) a little cheese, wrapped in a roasted jalapeno then wrapped in bacon and cooked (not sure if it was broiled, baked or pan fried).
It was really good and low carb and not real bad on calories from what I can guess. Instead of having the beans and rice, I opted for grilled peppers and onions It was filling and good!

I'm doing good today. Down day and I've only had water and two cups of tomato broth (caldo de tomate) about 30 cals. It is 2:40 and feeling good, not terribly hungry. Not planning to eat anything unless I get really uncomfortable.

No soda today and things actually seem easier. Hmmm.

That does sound good!

I'm trying to think of what to fix for supper. Maybe something with a Mexican flavor.....

Well, I perked along on the DD Glow until 7 p.m. when I broke into my FD with a glorious avocado bacon cheeseburger with onion, tomato, ketchup, mustard, mayo on a lightly toasted sweet Italian bun. (thinking of you, DD!)

About to enjoy a glass of wine and chocolate.

Wow, I didn't even think of that being a possible cause! Thanks for the suggestion. I'll definitely rinse and soak extra well and try to get rid of that liquid as much as possible the next time to see if it helps.

Very stressful day, but I stuck to my DD.

My mom called at 3am and told me that my dad had a heart attack (his third). I put the kids on the bus at 7am then went to work for half a day then straight up to the hospital. I ate nothing til about 30 mins ago when I stopped at subway to get dinner for my family. I got my sub as a salad and I am quite full now! What could of been a bad day of stress eating didnt happen! Normally hungry or not I would just pick at things on a day like today, but I knew it was a DD and I resisted. So proud of myself for that!!!

My dad is ok, he had to get 3 stent placed again. But they said he should be home by tues!

Seriously how is the chocolate creme egg different from original? Haven't ever tried one. Like the original too much to stray from her without just cause.

It's a DD so I just had coffee for breakfast; had half a flatout multi-grain/flax wrap with 2 oz. ham for lunch; had a huge cabbage slaw, chicken, soy, garlic, ginger stir-fry for dinner (with a little chili paste to spice it up a bit.

The filling on the chocolate ones is like a thick syrupy chocolate cake icing... or maybe it would be more accurate to say it's like a fudgey goo? I really enjoy both flavors.

Looking at the package, the chocolate has 20 calories more than the original, for a total of 170 per egg.

Had a pack of Great Value Mountain Trail Mix (stuff is addictive and sweet/salty). Total wine 3.5 glasses.

I'm done with the debauchery for this day. Drinking water now.
