This sounds like somebody stepping out a door, and then looking around and not being familiar with the surroundings out there. I think in that case, somebody would have to go slowly just to protect themselves from heading the wrong way, until they get back to recognizing the way again.

Maybe you can just pause in your thinking for a bit right now. Not in your JUDDDing. Not in your Up and Down Days. Not in your food choices. Let them keep on just as they have been leading up to this point. But just don't pay a whole lot of attention to this one weight reading on the scale.

Because here's something to consider about this. If you have broken through a barrier, and this is a new low for you after a long time of waiting to get here, it won't be the only *new low*. They will keep coming from now on. Each new lower weight will be a new low, and another new low. Etc.

So give yourself a moment to get your racing heart and racing thoughts under control again, and then rejoice that you are well and solidly on your way to lower weights and a slim figure. And it's a nice thing.

Thanks Pat (and everyone)!
It really is the issue that 170 was a massive boundary for my body that I just could not break no matter what I did, so I have a terrible fear of bouncing back above it. This is a battle of years, not just the moment.
I determined that I have to just keep on doing what works, not get on the scale, do my measurements, and quit obsessing. Me, obsessing? never

It's not even like this is anywhere near where I need to be(first goal only), just a horrible roadblock that I am past and need to now keep in the past.

Just to prove that most of my fears are unfounded
my 2nd month end weigh in 168.3
I didn't bounce back up. Glad I stayed off the scale and grateful for the encouragement

And this morning hubby mentioned I look thinner in my overfluffed pink dressing gown he commonly refers to as my big pink muppet suit. Now I'm a medium muppet.

We work and slave and say 'no' ..... well, okay, we say 'tomorrow' ..... and reach and stretch and reach for a goal. And when we finally arrive there, we look around in wonder. The sun still rises. The dog just pooped on the floor again. No new size to try on (that was two weeks ago). Goal is achieved, mountains should be moving, but it is time to make coffee. The world has not changed.

Hey B_Lou! 168.3! The world has changed!!! It really, really has!!!! Congratulations.
