Ouizoid's OMM - love this!
Ouizoid, I made your superlow carb/calorie chocolate OMM muffin. It was awesome!!
![]() My Netrition order came in yesterday. I had ordered oat fiber and gluc and your OMM was the first recipe I wanted to try. I used a little less cocoa powder, subbed 2 whole eggs for the egg beaters, and added some sour cream. Delicious!! Think I'll add a few sf chocolate chips next time. I've been looking through the oat fiber and gluc recipes and can't wait to try more!

Yep, it's the only thing I've tried so far. I can't remember the carb count, will input everything later and see what it comes up with. I did just a quickie count when I added the recipe to MasterCook last night and it was low in carbs and calories. And it's HUGE!
I'll post better numbers for the way I made it later this evening. |

I love it too, but it doesn't love me. If you notice any tummy troubles, it could be the oat fiber. I make mine with 1T oat fiber and 1T cocoa powder now and it works great!

I'm doing this from memory at work, but I think this is right.
I use: 6 T egg whites (50 calories) 1 T oat fiber 1 T Hershey's natural cocoa powder (10 calories) 1/4 C DaVinci's SF syrup (I've used banana, hazelnut, and coconut at different times--all were good) 1/4 t baking powder 1 t glucomannan powder I've done it without the baking powder and the gluc powder and it came out fine too. Spray the mug or bowl with Pam or similar, mix all ingredients, nuke for 2 - 2 1/2 minutes. Sometimes I take it out after 1 1/2 minutes, flip it over and put it back in for a minute. It took a lot of trial and error for me because I really liked Ouizoid's recipe, but I would be sick every time I tried it. This seems to be just enough oat fiber to get a decent texture without making me run for the hills. ![]()

This is the version I made this morning. So far, I've noticed no tummy issues.
4 tblsp. oat fiber 1 tblsp. Hershey's unsweetened cocoa 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/3 cup Erythritol 1 tsp. Glucomannan 2 whole eggs 1 tblsp. sour cream (full fat) 2 tblsp. SF DaVinci Syrup (I used Cookie Dough & Sweetening Syrup) According to MasterCook, the calorie/carb count is: Calories: 154 Net carbs: 2 (3 carbs, 1 fiber) Last edited by vanilla_latte; 03-29-2012 at 04:42 PM.. Reason: Forgot the sour cream! |

I'm the same with the oat fiber. If I stick with 1T I'm fine. Peanut flour makes an awesome OMM. Try 1T oat fiber, 1T cocoa, 1T peanut flour, 1/8 cup egg whites, 1/8 cup yogurt, 1t gluc, 1t baking powder, sweetener of choice, nuke for 1 min 30 sec in a micro bowl. 65 calories of yummy!

Pb2 would work too. I use the peanut flour cuz its cheaper and the only ingredient is peanuts. The one I have is from netrition and is called protein plus peanut flour and has 110 cals for 1/4 cup so 27 cals per T. I don't know how much almond flour has. Probably about the same. I love peanut flour. I use it to make peanutbutter and jelly for sandwiches too and I love love putting it in yogurt. My DDs I have half cup Greek yogurt with 1T protein, 1T peanut flour., caramel extract, chocolate extract and liquid sweetener. Omg! Wonderful! I'm addicted to this.

![]() ? please. When you say an 1/8 cup of egg whites and yogurt are you saying 2 TBS of each? That is the measure for 1/8 of a cup but I want to make sure I got it right by your measurements. Thanks! ![]() |

Arg, I forgot one thing, but it only ups the net carbs by one, nothing on the calories. Odd. Forgot the sf chocolate syrup.
