Holy Smokes! This JUDDD is magic!

I rarely start a new thread, but this time I couldn't resist!

Lately I've been feeling almost a little guilty because I haven't been counting my UD calories, and I KNOW I've been eating quite a bit over my number. But after my DDs, I'm always back down to where I started. I've been sitting at five pounds UNDER my goal weight for quite awhile now (which is a 11 pound loss on JUDDD since the week of Thanksgiving). I figured that with all I was eating, I probably wouldn't lose any more now, and that I'd reached my body's limit for loss. Wrong!

This morning, I dipped below 140 for the first time. 139.6! Yes, I know it's just a number, but for me it's a magical number. It makes my actual losses total a nice, round 90 pounds! One more and I'll weigh what I weighed on my wedding day almost 37 years ago at the age of 18.

I wanted to share this with everyone because even though it can be slow going, you should NEVER give up on this WOE. I don't think it'll let you down. I absolutely believe it has healed my metabolism. For the last several years, I've been struggling to hang onto the 150's and not go above 159. I had to do about 2-3 short rounds of hCG a year to stay there, but I wasn't liking it much. This is, by FAR, the easiest and most pleasurable way I could even imagine maintaining.

Thanks so much to all my JUDDD BUDDDs for your information and encouragement. To the newbies, you're in the right place.

Laurie, What a wonderful testimonial to start my day with!! I will be to goal before long and even if it takes longer than I think, that's fine with me because I am perfectly content with how I am eating and confident it will only get better!!! I couldn't be happier for you. JUDDD is a wonderful thing.

What a wonderful testimonial! You are obviously in a JUDDD sweet spot.

I've found I've been able to eat more and maintain (and even continue to lose) than I ever thought possible. 800-900 cal DD's are so doable (and even pleasurable after a big UD), and while my UD's stay around 1600 cal, I am able to eat as much as I am comfortable with for that number (often I find myself scrambling to get a bit more in late in the day). I choose to stay mostly paleo, but am def not vlc. I've noticed my carb levels have increased from 40-70g on UD's when I first started, to 100-120g on UD's now. I don't really eat grains or sugar (but will have some every so often), so those are mostly from fruit, veggies, nuts and nut butters and incidentals in my protein. Cravings are non-existent and I can enjoy the occasional treat without falling off the rails.

Even a week-long vacation with fd's everyday got me a 1 pound loss!

I know of no other plan that would have done this for me. And I can see eating this way forever quite easily.

I agree!!!

So thrilled to hear this Laurie!

I remember last year about this time, debating whether I should start JUDDD or keep up the Atkins woe and I wish that I would have jumped on this at the time. I would be at goal right now today!!! So, I am going to just relax and enjoy the trip and know that I will be saying this very same thing soon!

I remember when you first started and were frustrated with it. Aren't you glad you stuck with it? Sometimes it takes awhile for things to kick into high gear, but they seem to do it anyway.

Hang in there Shirl! You WILL see 127.5 again, and probably even lower. The journey is certainly pleasant, isn't it?

I LOVE your song, Beverly, and I would be so happy to sing it out loud on the biggest stage with the biggest audience ever! My DH IS doing this with me, although very loosely. He doesn't want to bother counting anything so he just keeps his food intake "low" on DDs, which translates into only eating eggs and dry sourdough toast for his meals, with popcorn or SF pudding for a snack. He's staying close to his goal. If you were here, I'd SO fix us a celebratory meal!

Here's what those 90 cartons of butter used to look like on me. This was actually not at my top weight. And I wasn't pregnant:

Congratulations Laurie!! As I share hair colour (LOL), height, goal weight and (just about) age with you I'm really delighted to see this!

I decided that I had to give JUDDD another try as my jeans (which I can no longer wear as I've regained too much weight) fit most comfortably when I was trying out JUDDD last month. I'm sure I will be posting to ask for advice once I get my head round it!

Thanks for sharing--it helps a lot.
I saw 139.7 once, but starting eating more maintenance level again (which I do quite often ) But, every time I keep to my numbers, the weight just starts to fall off. I'm currently at 140.8. I really need to get 10 lb. more off, though, because I have to find a dress for my daughter's wedding in Sept, and have to start shopping soon!!

Laurie,

Your excitement comes right through my monitor, and I so relate because coming from HCG and struggling, it sure seems we have both found our nirvana in weight release and more importantly, weight maintenance.

No more struggling in P3 & P4 wondering how any particular food would reflect on the scale the next day.

Now, we just mosy along with a big smile on our faces!

JUDDD is truly amazing.........and so are you, my friend!!
