Today is a DD for me and a particularly difficult one. SOOOooooo hungry.......... Trying to keep my eye on the prize.

You know it's a Down Day when...

you actually lick the plate clean before giving it to the cat to finish, and he gives you a look like "where's my eggs?"

(my cats hate down days. They don't get ANY tidbits from my plate, though I do still allow them to lick the plates clean)

You know it's a DD when you read the labels on everything in the house - to see if you can actually eat that '_____' (fill in the blank) and then put it back on the shelf - thinking - I'll eat that tomorrow (and then never do!)

You know it's a DD when you are aware of the time on the clock, and the exact number of minutes til the next meal

I know it's a DD when DH asks me "what kind of day is this?" meaning he wants to go to McDonald's or Taco Bell and doesn't want to eat in front of me if I can't eat it too, so he waits till the next day.

I know it's a bad DD when someone asks me if I am hungry and I go off on a tangent about how they are trying to "sabatage" me

How cute!!! Zipper and our dog's coloring are just about identical. We adopted ours and the vet said she looked like a mix between a rat terrier and a dachshund. But after she had a back incident and upon doing research, I found she is apparently a piebald dachshund. I opened up this one web site and could sworn they used a picture of my dog!!!

Anyway, cute dogs and glad Zipper found a happy home with you!

you know its a down day when you are ready to murder your husband for cooking two rib eyes with a port garlic reduction (his dd had to be a md and all he ate was the steak)
and the smell in the house causes your brain to melt out your ears and nose.

I saved the tissues. I might NEED that brain matter some day.

I feel for you! I might have had a bite or two if I knew I could stop myself!

I end up cooking for my lovely husband on DDs a lot of the time. I don't mind it that much since I can taste everything, which, for some reason, always fills me up, BUT I'll leave the house for something and come back and the smell finally hits me! That's when it gets tough to resist!
