If you are in maintenance

What are your stats?

I'm 46, 5'4" and 128 pounds. Calorie counters typically give me around 1475ish for maintenance calories. The JUDDD calculator gives me 1556UD and 856DD (55%). Seems like I see everyone else with around 1700 cals for UD. Is it just because I'm old? LOL

Not that 1500 is a problem for me. Just was curious mostly.

Because of the amount of exercise I do I get 1927 UDs. Otherwise it would be 1500 something. I'm 5'4", 125, age 52. And I didn't plug in my exercise at the highest level even though I typically work out 7 days a week for 1.5 hours (more in good weather months). Subconciously I think it's one of the reasons I work out so much! LOL

I just rechecked using a weight of 123 lbs and 50% maintenance. I entered little of no exercise because although I exercise 3 times a week I am otherwise very sedentary. I am 64.

I got 1424 on UDs 712 on DDs.

I would guess that most of my UDs are at least 2000 cals, and my DDs average between 500 and 700 cals.

I have been maintaining since the beginning of the year and my UD numbers have gone up slowly to get to these levels, except for the UUADs.

Just thought you'd like to know. YMMV.

I'm 5'6" (maybe a smidge over).

When I started JUDDD in October, I was 37 and my goal weight (which I used in the calculator since I only had 5# to go) was 145#. It said I needed to eat 1700 calories on UDs. I found if I ate between 1700 - 1800 on UDs, I lost well. My DDs were between 450 - 750.

Now at age 38, at my current weight, 137# on average, it says I should be eating 1660 calories on UD to maintain, but I regularly eat 200 - 800 calories above that number. Plus I eat around 850 calories on the DDs.

Started JUDDD 10/12/11 after LC.
MAINTENANCE since 11/12/11, & have lost more weight. I shake things up all the time with my version of Pirate Jenny's MUDDD, my "Fast 5" & other IF. ...low-moderate fat....and eating "healthy" foods 75+% of the time which lets me have real life and indulgences too I've reached my goals, improved my health & appearance, and enjoy my lifetime woe!

I am 5ft 6.5", 126lbs and 50 years old.

My maintenance calories are 1537 and 845 at 55%.

I'm glad this thread motivated me to check - I'd been aiming for 769 DDs at 50% and usually going over - will aim for 845 now - much more doable

I will be on vacation for 2 weeks next month, and after that (and after I lose those extra vacation pounds), I'll think about upping my UD calories to see if I can......

Interesting. Thanks! I've been doing dd's around 900, and ud's around 1500, and maintaining well, so that's obviously my numbers, I was just curious what others were doing.

I'm going to try to lose a couple more pounds, so doing an under 500 cal dd today. But when I get those off, I'll go back up on DD's and then I want to try to push my UD calories, just to see if I can. I want my metabolism to burn as hot as I can get it since it will want to slow as I get older anyway. With spring here now, I'm going to get better about getting out and getting some walking in too.

I'm 5'7, almost 55 yrs old, and weigh 140 pounds. I started JUDDD at 151, doing 500 calorie DDs and keeping my UDs to 1700-1800 calories. I lost weight more quickly than on any WOE other than hCG. After I started staying in the low 140's, I started eating 600 calories on my DDs and have allowed more and more FD's until now I rarely count the UDs. I KNOW I'm eating way more calories than the calculator would give me, but I'm maintaining with no problem. For me, keeping the DDs calories at 600 seems to be the magic. I don't mind doing DDs because the FDs are the reward!

I never have calculated new numbers for maintenance. I just kept upping my calories for both days to stop losing weight and when it got me to be able to maintain I just continued to use this amount of calories for both days.

DD...700/750 and UD.....1700/1750
