This was soooo cute!!

I just had to share, because this really made my day!! Okay, so today is my DD, and I was just talking to hubby on the phone. We usually go out for a nice dinner on Thursday nights, but he wanted to know if we could have our date night on Wednesday instead. Then he stops and says, oh, wait a minute, is that your up day?? I told him no, that it was a DD, and so he says, well, let's just go out for dinner tomorrow since that is your up day, and I said okay!! I just had to share because hearing him talk about UDs and DDs was something he never did when I was LCing -- he loves the concept of JUDDD just like I do, yes!!! :kicking: :D :kicking:

very sweet. My DH calls them "starving days" and "fat days"....close enough...

Two brilliant DHs.

My husband is another who likes the way this plan allows for us to go out to dinner easily whenever we want with only occasionally a little pre-planning or shifting of my schedule.

Before JUDDD, I was always.. "No.. let's not go there. They don't hardly have anything I can eat." Or it was like, "My diet doesn't allow for me to go to Cheesecake Factory." "My diet makes it almost impossible to go to the B-B-Q place." "My diet means I can't join you in grabbing a treat at Dairy Queen."

I think sometimes we don't realize how much our diet can impact their life. Like the year I didn't hardly make anything in the Spirit of the Holiday for Christmas. No fun Christmas cookies. No fun special candies. No special *Old Family Recipes* that were always a part of the celebration of the season.

I'm not ever going to miss out on occasions like that again, and I'm not ever going to miss out on times of sharing with my husband again, and that includes going out to dinner together. And sometimes that's just ordering pie and coffee in the middle of the afternoon. But JUDDD makes all of this not just allowable, but easy. Yay!

:goodpost: I soooo agree, I remember the same things, we couldn't go here, we couldn't go there, I would be sitting there eating dry lettuce and a boring protein while he was enjoying a delicious meal; those days are now history!! :D

Cute! My husband asks if it's an eat day or not. Ha

My dh is one who loves to go out to eat with me. Even if it's just coffee (and I don't drink it black LOL). When I was dieting last year we NEVER went out. Once I reached goal I might have been able to once a week but often his schedule and my dieting schedule didn't jive. Now with JUDDD being every other day we get to go out often. And he's loving it. :)

I also agree on all these things. It just makes it easier. Of course, it's still hard to keep to those upper limits (for me) on social occasions, but I'm working on it...

Sweet!

My DH is following JUDDD loosely, but when he gets busy, he sometimes forgets the rotation. He actually said to me yesterday, "Today's an UD, isn't it?" He'd been working and it was 5:00 pm already. He made up for it, though. Friends invited him to a feast and he got to eat some wonderful, spicy Cajun food. (He was working out of town.)

I so agree! It was tough going out and hubby is sitting there eating potatoes, bread, dessert, and I had to stick with LC fare, and so because of that, we had limited places where we could go (like IHOP, there was no way I was gonna eat a salad while he munched on pancakes!!) But now, OMG, how nice it is that we can go to all of our favorite places and I can enjoy delicious foods right along with him, yum!!

Cute !
My dear fiancÚ is the same, when he wants to open a bottle of wine for diner he always asks first "c'est DD ??" (pronounced dayday in french !), same when he wants to eat out...
plus he knows that UD means good food (= news recipes for my blog) and DD means pasta with cheese for him ... he's happy anyway ! :D

sophiethecat 03-26-2012 12:35 PM

Yayyy for your hubby! It's funny and cool, isn't it? :)

My Mom is JUDDDg too, and Dad was helping her read labels to find something she could eat this morning for her DD.

Aww.. I think due to the fact that this WOE works for me.. And he is seeing with his own eyes my loss of inches... its easier for him to accept this "diet" for the first in my life! We are planning a drive to NC on Friday.. and i told him.. you do know its a DD for me,, so i MUST drink alot! . And for the first time ever..he said. i know that..and we will just have stop to let you pee when you need to!.. He never lets me stop to pee!! lmao.. I then said to him. i m not so sure that i should continue my rotation while we visit his family.. his reply was.. "why not? Just tell them your doing a fasting.. and they will understand" i was blown away at how accepting he has become with this WOE.. "

gotsomeold 03-26-2012 01:16 PM

I am luving this thread!!!! :jumpjoy: :jumpjoy: When I was LCing, I saw a lot of posts on the main board of people who shared that their husbands, family members, friends, etc. disapproved of their WOE; even my DDs disapproved of me eating that way. But my life changed when I saw Beeb's post over there, and I'll never look back; thanks Beeb and thanks JUDDD!!! :kicking: :kicking:

Scotty 03-26-2012 04:26 PM

DH said this morning that he thought he might try JUDDD

"So, can I do one week of UDs, and one week with some DDs?'

HMPH! Him being a man and all, he'd probably lose!!1:p
