Thanks Kissa. I haven't checked today since it's a DD, and all I've had is the cabbage, cheese and sausage crumbles. Just finished it, but have checked before, and BS is really good with this meal, so going to save my strips..(too expensive to use willy-nilly!) Will check again tomorrow on my UD. Need to get my menu planned.

I remember years ago when I actually did the ketone test strips I cut them in half lengthwise to make twice the strips from each batch! They worked just as well.. you could still see what color the strip was, etc. It just gave you twice as many strips to use from each purchase so saved you some money.

Could this be done with your blood sugar test strips?????

Pat, thanks for the suggestion of cutting the strips in half, but I don't know if that can be done with BG strips. Guess I could try one and see...would be a great saver if it's possible! I will let you know....

Well, BG test strips cannot be cut in half. When I insert a strip in the machine, it will automatically come on, but cut in half, it will not. Good thought, tho.
