Swole.me

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned in a thread before but I happened to StumbleUpon this site and thought it took a lot of pressure off of me, a JUDD newbie!

It's a site where you plug in the amount of calories you want to eat in the day and over how many meals (Even allows for specific types of diets like LC) and then it will give you suggestions of foods to eat to meet that macronutrient and caloric requirement. If you don't like the options, you can "generate" a new list, as well as mark foods you just don't like!! When I saw it, I thought it was a perfect helper for JUDD! Anyway, I just wanted to share. Hope it helps!

The automatic diet planner - Swole.me is the site.

I'm hoping it will be a help for folks who worry about putting together a menu for the day that will end up being the right number of calories, with the calories spread out over the course of the day.

It wasn't much help for my Down Day though... I asked it for a 600-calorie DD, since I'm doing maintenance of about 600 to 800 cals on DDs, and it wouldn't give me anything under 800 calories.

So I think if you want a 500-calorie day, you need to ask for a 1000 calorie one, and then divide the food suggestions in half.

It's interesting, I will say that.

Here is what it gave me for my 800 calorie day:

Meal One 19 pecan halves

Meal Two 1 C whole wheat pasta

Meal Three 1 C cottage cheese

Meal Four 2 C chopped red pepper
1 C cherry tomatoes

Pat, when I first checked I out, I put in 500 calories over 3 meals and it worked. Hmmm. Anyway, while it may not give perfect mel mono, I like the generation of food ideas. Definitely not the end all be all, but it can definitely serve some purpose ( especially for us overwhelmed newbies! Lol).

Hmmm.. I asked for the calories spread out over 4 meals, as I always like an evening snack. Do you suppose it knew and didn't want me snacking after supper?
